I have a 530D BMW 2005 model, I found that the diesel is mixing with the oil and giving off massive amount of white smoke. The diagnostic report showed glow plug cylinder 5 and 6. We did the service a

I am not to sure what u are asking here but I would say u need 2 glow plugs . I would be checking the dpf filter as that gives off a light colour smoke when trying to regen and if it can't regen that is where the fuel is getting in oil , modern diesels need to have long runs quite oftern driving around town blocks up dpf in the exhaust the car try's to regen using extra fuel to get it up to temp to burn off the soot inside it prob not running long enough to do it. If u got good diagnostic gear u can preform a regen stationary hope this helps

Bmw bluetooth code

The code is unique to each vehicle. You can find it in the owners manual for the infotainment system, if you don't have that you need to contact the dealer.

I have a 530d BMW with 191,020Km 2005 model on the clock and is regulary serviced at an approved BMW garage. Very nice and stable vehicle to drive but now the computer keeps reading errors Tyre pucture,...

This I believe on your description seems like it could be a sensor problem, like maybe the 02 sensor that is part of your emissions (Cadillac converter) I am disappointed that BMW did not see this come up on there codes, as it would of if they put it on computer. The fact that cut off, would have nothing to do with the breaks. And believe it or not, sometimes the sensor bad, will cause the other stuff mentioned to come on, and breaks could of been fine. Hope this helps,Mike.

How about the spark? Do the spark plugs get spark? If not, then check out the ignition system in the service manual.

How to reset oil life on bmw x5 2005

Your BMW has a CBS (conditions based service) system, this is a new standard system for all BMW's produced in 2005 and on, these CBS system cannot be reset without being hooked up at the dealer, there is no currently offered aftermarket tool for this operation that I know of. I understand the frustration of this problem, I own a 2006 325i, with the same CBS system. Hope this helps, let me know

Bmw 530d (2002) service reset problem

Just ensuring that it doesnt have a under-bonnet diagnostic connector otherwise this method wont work.

This is how to reset the light.

Switch ignition off and press and hold the button (in between the fuel level and speedo) and at the same time turn the ignition to position 1. After 5 seconds the words OIL SERVICE or INSPECTION are shown together with the message "reset" or "re".

Release the button and press and hold it again for a further 5 seconds until the "resets" or "re" starts to flash. Release the button and press once for the last time. The new service interval mileage should now be displayed. Switch off ignition, job done!

Hope this helps!

BMW 5 series - 2005 model - resetting service & waring lights

the brake pad warning light is controlled by a sensor located in the front and rear brake pads, small contact with 2 wires that plud into a harness, if they are bad I think the replacement cost is around 5-10 dollars for a new one, there will only be one in the front and one in the rear, the service light is turned out by a special tool at the dealer
