The noise is only there when you put it into gear. The dealer advised it could be the double roller bearings. Please advise

Yes, ur dealer is right! he main shaft BEARiNG cause the NOiSE, these problem occurs when ur TRANSMiSSiON's lubricant failed or didn't reach those roller bearings, maybe ur gearbox have low GEAR OiL and damaged the ROLLER BEARiNG!
Try to TOP up ur gear box w/ gear oil plus ADDiTiVE, it might extinguish the NOiSE, if the NOiSE still there, then u have to REPLACE those bearings by a MECHANiC( whichever is cheaper the recondition or get it repair)

    Hope that might help out!

Renault trafic gearbox cable adjustment

After fitting the cables! You need to adjust the GATE cable as each gearbox has slightly different wear... One cable selects the gears.. The other is responsible for the smooth gear selection! Sounds like your out of line mate! Theres an adjustable thread on the GATE cable! Keep adjusting til it selects smoothly! JOB DONE SAAAAAAN!! :-)

Changing gears is getting difficult and even when the engine is off when changing the gears with the clutch pressed i can hear some clicks from gearbox. is it the gearbox oil level low? vw polo 1.4 cl T...

Check fluid levels first and also check where the shifter comes through the floor and attaches to the rod going to the tranny, make sure that pivot point is not rusted. There's a plastic to metal bushing underneath on the shifter points. If it's rusted, it makes it really hard to shift. If both check out fine, only then look at possible internal issue. (PS - some clicking is normal.)
