I have about 26,000 miles on my truck, but the dealer said I need a transmission service and other service before the 30,000 miles. It cost $850 for the services, do you think this is a reasonable price for the service.
Your QX56 will not need the spark plugs replaced at 30K, or even 60K, They are iridium and designed to last 100K. That being said, most replace theirs around 70K. At 30K, you should flush your coolant, drive axel's, transfercase and transmission. There is no filter to replace on your transmission.

Re: Service of 2005 Infinti QX56
I will check my repair manual later on for you but they just trying to do some upsales, i'm a certified mechanic here in vegas and they try to sell me some services than the truck does not even need, the only thing i will recomend you when the car gets 30000 miles is to replace the fuel filter and the spark plugs,
but if you still want to do what the dealer says that's exept to you, but the car won't need that, you can have your car take to a certified auto repair, that means any shop with the ase logo, and have them do a bumper to bumper inspection, they might charge you something for this inspection but it won't void your factory warranty, and that way you know what your car really needs
try to ask your neighboors for a good auto repair or get some references for a good place and take it for a second opinion

Your service person is spot on. Yes you should have it done. I can attest to your skepticism but I think those horror stories come from some of the independent and/or quick lube places. If it's the dealer doing the work, they guarantee parts & labor for one year. Your service person is looking out for you
the plugs are changed at 100000 miles, but the transmission,a 5 speed electronic and needs service with "j" type fluid.every 30000 miles.
the 120000 km service is about 500 dollars. call a reputable nissan dealer
You can go any place like jiffy lube for your Oil and filter change every 4,000 miles or 6 month's which ever comes first. The air filter should be replaced every 25,000 miles and PVC valve or once a year. The transmission, transfer case, front and rear differential should be serviced 80,000 to 100,000 miles or 5 years which ever comes first. The radiator antifreeze if orange service 150,000 miles or 5 years, if antifreeze is green every 30,000 miles or once a year. The spark plugs , wire set good for 100,000 miles. Oh and fuel filter is in the gas tank and a part of the fuel pump so don't let someone tell you that the fuel filter needs to be changed. Change it when the fuel pump fails and that's around 150,000 miles. And last the wipers blade, always replace them in the spring. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
You say you don't tow anything and you only got 85,000 mi. on the truck i don't think it is neceassery. Just chg.filter and oil and blow out the cooling lines and you should be good to go. I'am not saying its a bad or an expensive procedure i just don't think its neceassery.
