When you are in gear at idle with your foot on the clutch you have placed an axial load on the crank which is pushed forward in the main bearings against a thrust bearing. I suspect a failing thrust face on this bearing as it only works under a clutch release load. The only other point that is under load is the clutch throw out bearing but if that is failing you should be hearing a tinny type of rattle when you have the foot on the clutch
Yes that is normal for a front wheel drive vehicle. The power is applied to the wheel on the passenger side only until a given amount of wheel speed is obtained then the drivers side will spin at the same rate. Although if you raise the front of the vehicle and spin the tires by hand in neutral you should feel equal resistance. If the driver side wheel has excessive resistance to turning the wheel bearing may be to tight..
I think your right that its a bad bearing or hub. If your feeling it in the gas pedal and the floor, its most likely the front. If you can find an empty parking lot, try to get up to the speed it starts making the noise, and turn left and right. With the extra load being put on each bearing from turning, that will tell you which side it is.

Front wheel hub assemblies and bearings control the position of, and reduce the resistance of, vehicle wheels in contact with the pavement. When they fail, front wheels may not be kept in position and vibration and noise usually develop. Symptoms that normally develop as a result of these worn parts include:
A humming, rumbling or growling noise which increases with acceleration or as the vehicles turns
Vibration felt in the steering wheel, which changes with vehicle speed or as the vehicle turns
Looseness or excessive play in the steering wheel (especially while driving over rough road surfaces)
A loud, constant grinding noise when driving the vehicle (heard in the most severe cases of a wheel bearing failure)
Pulling to one side when braking.

It sounds as though your car has two seperate problems. The first problem with the vibration that goes away when you let off the gas pedal is caused by a bad INNER CV joint. It only vibrates when you are accelerating because that is when the joint is under stress. Your vehicle has two axles, each with an inner and an outer joint. My suggestion is to have a competent shop determine which is the bad side and replace the entire axle. The second vibration which occurs at any speed is most likely cause by either a bad tire, or a bent rim.
