Check these parts........... First check the TEMPERATURE/RADiATOR FAN SWiTCH, it is connected on ur RADiATOR, w/ 2 wires connected to it, at certain temperature the switch turns ON ur FAN MOTOR, by disconnecting it and JUMP/SHORT the 2 wires FAN MOTOR should run, even when u just turn on the ignition! If the FaN runs, u got temp switch prob and needs to replace, If the fan didn't run when u shorted the wire in the switch. Check the RELAY, located in the ENGiNE FUSE box, pull out the relay and replace it w/ another relay, while ur 2 wires in the temp switch is on and ur ignition is in the ON position, when the relay clicks and the fan runs, u have a GOOD relay, if not u have to replace the RELAY! Hope that explains everything! Taah!

I have a loud continous squeel and have checked my fan belts for adjustment, what else could it be?

Since this info is somewhat vague, I will assume it is engine related. If the belt is not the issue, look at: a/c compressor, water pump, power steering, idler pulley, or tension pulley. All of these items are driven by the belt while the engine is running. If it is not engine related, please supply more info. Thanks and good luck.

My audi a5 wont run it starts and cuts out since i fitted a new serpentine belt

How long does it run? Sure you only changed the serpentine belt? The car would actual even run without the serpentine (or also called accessory belt) since the belt only drives fairly non essential components (AC compressor, alternator, fan, power steering pump. etc).

Dont think the problems are related but the best advice i can offer is to ask a local mechanic to have a look for you ,as without my head under the bonnet and a test drive i honestly cannot even think what could be the problem ,this could be a fuel pump low on pressure or a computer fault as modern cars are very difficult to diagnose at the best of times let alone a model iam unfamilar with and on another continent ,another thing that comes to mind could be the throttle pedal sesnor if its all electric with no throttle cable

When a blower motor can stall a car out,and you did what you believed is related to alternator, your dealing with a power ground,Along the transmission on the bell housing is power grounds, check to see if any of it has loose to bad connection,These stall cars out when other load as blower motor is on,or even alternator failure where there is no proper ground, this includes the negative battery terminal to engine ground

How to change alternator belt on 98 mitsubishi galant es, i looked under the hood and a belt was shredded. i took it off and the car still started but when i cut the car off it wouldnt start back up, i...

Most likely what is happening is that either the fan/water pump is no longer being turned by the engine, which it needs the belt on for (Assuming it's a '98, not an '89), causing it to overheat, or the battery is being drained because the belt being off the alternator is causing the alternator to not turn, therefor producing no power. Make sure no shards of old belts remain, and put on the new belt. That should solve the problems.

I have a 1995 caddy. i replaced the alternator, wires, spark plugs and gave it an oil change. I also put a brand new battery in it. i also changed the ignition cylinder. it did fine for about 30 minutes....

Even a new alternator and/or battery can be bad. You should have them load tested to verify they are working. You should also check the alt plug to make sure it is seated all the way or else it won't charge.

03 Mazda Tribute's charging indicator light begins flashing on and off when engine reaches 1200 rpm and becomes contineously on at and above 1500 rpm. With engine idling or decelerating to below 1200 rpm...

It may be that the light is being tripped due to an "over voltage" condition. The faster you spin the alternator/engine the higher the voltage output of the alternator. I would test the voltage coming out of the alternator. It should be at about 14.3v or so max. If it gets into the 16v+ range when you increase the engine RPM then the voltage regulator has failed and needs to be replaced.
