My left my left side headlight does not work the high beam work but the low beam does not work what could cause that

The bulb has gone, or it may be the fuse. Modern cars have separate bulbs for high and low beams. They are separate reflectors, on in different locations within the same reflectors. Older models use a bulb with two elements.

High beam not working

This may be your relay, when you change your beams it actually turn 1 beam off and turn the other on to stop over heating your light reflectors but if 1 of your relays are faulty it appears to just turn off

My right side front low beam light wont work even after putting in new hid lights.checked all connections n are all good too. Anyone know what could be going on. If theres a relay or something n r thing...

Normally that would indicate a light switch is no good. Unfortunately in newer cars, there may be a relay or two, or an integrated wiper system or computer system involved. You will need a manufacturer wiring diagram and a good electrician.

How to change low beam lamp 2007 grand vitara

remove old lamp, install new.
its here the real manual.

in general.
on newer cars in USA< (you never said location and every country has differ, DOT laws on lamps)
but on Euro TYPE lights, the lamp unscrews from the rear. of reflector body. (a twist lock lamp)
gain access and remove it.
for sealed beams (some countries mandate them) you must remove the
whole lamp assembly.
on most cars you need to gain access the assembly via panel removals.
its in the book, seen above, for USA only. or ask dealer or any mechanic. its just a 15min job. nothing expensive to get help.

How do i chance the fog light bulb on my ford windstar 2003. I removed the sealed deam from it's location but the bulb is stuck inside. Do the sealed beam could be open???? tks

Are you sure it is a "sealed beam" light. If so, you can't replace the element in a true sealed beam. Thus the name "sealed". Most all recent cars have halogen bulbs that are mounted in a bayonet holder that comes out of the light reflector and lenses assembly. You turn the bulb holder about a 1/4 turn, usually counterclockwise and the holder comes out with the bulb. The bulb can be several different type mounts. Some plug in and some are bayonet mounts also. Get a new bulb and that will help you see how it mounts. When installing one of these halogen bulbs, DO NOT touch the glass bulb with you bear fingers. The oil from your skin will burn on to the glass and reduce the light and shorten the bulb life. Sometimes a little silicone grease on the bulb holder mount tabs will make putting it back together and taking it apart the next time. Just little grease, and only on the mount. Don't get anything inside on the reflector or the bulb and be sure you turn the mount all the way to seal out water. Anything on the reflector will damage the reflector surface. Maybe that is too much about a bulb, but it is important if you don't already know it. Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Galant and am trying to change the headlight bulb. How do you remove the "dead" one ?

There is a plastic ring that holds the bulb in place . You need to spin the ring counter clockwise to unhook the ring from the reflector. If the battery is in the way you may have to remove it before taking out the headlight. The wire harness unplugs from the back of the bulb but may be stuck. If you try to unplug the harness before removing the bulb you might brake the retaining ring. Therefore, turn the ring, wiggle the bulb free of the reflector, then get a grip on the bulb and work the harness plug off the bulb. Now place new bulb in the reflector, put on the retaining ring and turn clockwise till it stops, plug in the bulb harness, and test the bulb by turning on high and low beam.

I am driving to spain soon, can I adjust the main beam dipping direction from left to right hand dipping without replacing the headlight unit?.

Unfortunately you cannot. The beam pattern itself is different. On left hand drive cars, the actual beam is designed to throw the least amount of light into oncoming cars and will look something like this.

you can't change the pattern as the housing unit itself is what depicts the pattern projected.

HID low beam headlight replacement for 2003 lexus es300

The HID bulbs are very easy to change, and can be bought online for much less than from the dealer. Check sites like xenondepot and Ebay for Phillips D2R (for reflector headlamps) HID bulbs and you can replace them yourself.
