2007 gmc 1500 4wd not working. service light on and lights on switches are off. truck in 4 low

Sounds as if the transfer case control module has gone bad and grounded the circuit to the 4 low actuator. The module is located behind the headlight switch in the dash. You could try tapping the actuator on the transfer case lightly with a hammer to see if it releases.

My truck is stuck in 4wd low. Can't get back to 2wd nor 4wd high. Where do I start looking? Light doesn't come on on the panel.

3 places to ceck . 1st make sure your fuses are good. 2nd check pin switch on transfeer case. 3rd.check bellows under battery box make sure DIAPHRAM is not bad. I will lay odds, that the motor that chenges gears in trnsfer case is no good. I beleive GM's calls it a reactor motor. Good luck.

4wd does not work iv changed the 4wd switch but still does work and on the 4wd switch none of the lights come on to tell you if you are in 2wd or 4wd hi or low

the switch is probably from a newer modle truck, although they work the indicator lights don't always work, and check the 4x4 fuse in the fuse panel on the left side of the dash by the drivers door

1999 GMC Sierra 5.3 lit. 4WD. Air is blowing through vents but no heat. Where do I start?

Check the level of your antifreeze making sure it is up to the correct level. That is most likely the case. If not then the next option is changing the thermostat since the one you have now is probably stuck open not allowing the coolant to warm up before it circulates through your heater core. Both them possibilities are cheap fixes too.

Good Luck

GMC Sierra "Service 4WD" message

You should be fine to drive it home, as long as you don't drive it like that all year. There are a few things that activate the 4WD and one of the components has a failure and needs to be addressed. Good luck and hope this helps.

Can I make this 4x4 a 2x4 for now?

if the only problem was stuck in 4x4 would not be huge deal. You could just pull the driveshaft off the front. But with it stuck in low range not sure that you can get away with doing that.
