I have a 96 Explorer with keyless Alarm and the windows stop working can we fix it

if all windows stopped at once, it sounds like it could be a blown fuse. Fuse boxis on the drivers side, side of dashboard.pull it out to see if blown and replace with same amp number.you could also look in manual for info on fuse box.

I have a 96 or 97 the radio dont play it works but but no sound it will like frist thing in the morning then it stops son i know it works so we are tryn to put a new cd player in it thinkn maybe when it...

To be clear, the sound works for a while and then cuts out and never starts again such as when you hit a bump? In other words it has to be left off for a long period of time then it will work again, correct?

If so, the one of electrical components (likely in the amplifier is bad), the most practical thing to do is hit ebay or the local junk yard for at matching replacement radio.

Hope this helps.

When I changed the battery in my 96 ford explorer the radio won't work

did you check your fuses. There may be something else other than your radio that does not work that you haven't notice yet. The fuses are a good place to start

96 Continental radio, no audio

I have the SAME EXACT problem. I thought it was the radio - bought another - went to change the units - heard an electrical arc - now the car cranks but doesn't start and the new radio doesn't work either!!! (not that it matters anyway)
Is there an electrical problem with '96 Lincoln's. Where should I start to diagnose the non-starting issue?

Speedometer not working

you have fuses in the car close to the stirring wheel, and then there is under the hood more fuses in a back closer to the right back of the explorer. try that but it does sound as if your meter has to be fixed by a mechanic because the magnet for it sounds like it is needing some help. I hope that the help you are looking for comes soon. nikki2913
