With the car running the volts should be 13.5v - 14.5v I would say your alternator is bad.

My stabilitrak light started going on. I replaced the battery. Today while driving my battery went from 14.6 volts down to 12.5 and then back up. What is going on?

stabilitrac is from balljoints prob on tire rods of sway bar and altonator runs at 14v and batt runs 12. for it to be dropping to 12 you need to run to auto zone n they can check your alt. or while its runnind take your batt post off batt n if it keeps running your alt is good and if it dies out rite away alt has to be changed

My 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 2wd m/t has my batt. light coming on and off, when the dash light comes on my lights will

I would have everything tested first. Thats usually free at most auto part stores. It does sound like your alternator is starting to fail or possibly your battery.

Gauge showing low output alt only 1yr old wondering if it could be regulator or batt or wiring

if you have access to a digital multimeter, connect the meter (set to volts) across positive and neg. terminal of the battery, should read roughly 12.6 volts, close to 10 volts, battery may be going out, also test the alt output, disconnect neg term and place negative lead to battery neg post and positive lead to neg battery cable (make sure meter is set to amps) should read near the rating, if both those, then you'd want to do a resistance test, (set meter to Ohms) disconnect battery and connect meter neg to either pos cable terminal or where the pos cable connects to the alt and connect positive lead to opposite of neg, should read next to 0, the check resistance of the ground by connecting meter between batt neg cable and body of alt.

97 checvy astro 4.3 6cyl. I replaced battery, Starter and the batt wont hold a charge. Is it possible to check the wiring from the alt to the starter without having to remove the alternator?

Yes, If you have a volt meter, jump and start engine, with engine running you should have approx 13.5 to 14.2volts that would tell me that batt is getting charged when engine is running. you said new batt would not hold a charge, I would be thinking about a parasitic draw(small amount of power) that in time will drain batt. things to look for are glove box lights, under hood lights that dont turn off. one easy way too see if you have a draw is to disconnect one batt cable, now use a regular (12volt non-self powered) test light and touch one end to batt cable and the other to empty batt terminal, with no light switches on and doors closed, this test light should not light and if it does then you have a drain on batt that will kill it say overnight.

95 pontiac sunfire worked fine it starts but a few mins later it stalls i keep tring it and the batt goes dead any ideas why

You could have a few problems, but first you need a fully charged battery and then start it up, if it stays running then check the charge from the alt. You have to have more than 14 volts. If it still stalls with the fully charged battery then start with the fuel pressure. Could be the fuel pump.

My alternator went out, or so I thought. I replaced it and the system still won't charge. I just replaced the battery and I know it is good. What could the problem be?

battery cables corrosion or lose. Also could be lose nut on alternator where large wire is. Clean and tighten all wire ends + - and alt. that don't work get an dc multi meter and check voltage on alt at nut when running should be like 13 to 14.5 volts black to batt ground and red to alt on multi meter. if it's not 13-15 your alt. is bad. Get your batt load tested free at autozone.

Battery light stays on.

If you disconnect the battery for 20 min it should kill all memory and reset everything. If not you charge is still low charge up your batt. with a charger.and test your alt. output 13.9-13.7 you have to check the book.I'm not to sure on that. You might have a voltage regulator problem bad batt. Or somthing is hooked up wrong. Mabey the old alt was fine. Have the batt. tested. All alt. well most are rebuilts so you might have a bad one it happens.Make sure that it's putting out a charge.
Loose alternator drive belt or loose or corroded battery cables. The battery itself may also be bad.

04 pontiac sunfire battery light and panel lights dim

sounds like your alternator. if you have a multimeter then turn on your car and turn your headlights on/ac and heater fan on high/wipers on and blinkers on. once they are all on hook the meter to the battery and if it reads less then 14 volts then the alt is bad. or you can just take it to a shop and have it tested.

Battery light on

It is possible that the extra demand placed upon the charging system finally blew the alternator.
You need to have the charging system checked,,or check the output yourself with a volt meter (should be around 14-15 volts) test must be done with the car running.
If the voltage reads up to 14 or 15 volts then it would indicated a short in the dash control circuit.
