Have you pulled the codes and repaired whatever caused the check engine light to come on?

I pressed the information button on the radio and the "battery saver" indicator and the "check charging system" indicator suddenly came on in my 2006 chevy hhr. Is there a way to reset these indicators?

test battery for charge with a meter with engine off then do the same with the engine running. should be around 12volts on a charged battery and with engine running be around 14volts. check these.

My 2006 2.2L hhr's engine is idoling up and down. the reduced engine power code is on. what do i do?

Nick;
Hopefully this does not reach you too late. This is a VERY simple fix!!
Disconnect the negative battery cable for thirty minutes. THATS IT!! This will reset the Engine Controle Unit (module), (computer), however you wish to state it.

What does engine power reduced mean? hhr 2006

It reduces power to protect from engine damage. I have had this happen twice because I accidentally hit the back of the gas peddle up when I was in cruise control. It will reset once you drive in reverse. If that does not resolve the problem you might have to take it in for service.

How to Turn off Service Traction Control and ESC messages

I had this problem with my 2007 HHR. I drove away with the service engine and the service traction light on. The car was stuttering through the gears. I took it back and they checked it. They disconnect some wires while they change the oil and one was loose. The service engine turned off but the service traction stayed on. We disconnected the battery for 3 minutes and it fixed the problem. Some of those other guys spent up to 300 dollars to fix the problem. Hope it works out for you.

My coolant Temp gage goes out and comes back on after about 50 miles. sometime it stays off for over that and the ''checkengine light'' comes on. I had Onstar do a dianostic test on it and the said it was...

it should be by your MAF-- Mass Air Flow---be careful, when you remove it, coolant will come out, so relieve the pressure, as for your check engine light, reset the computer by disconnectin the negative battery terminal for five minute, this will reset it

2006 Chevrolet HHR LT Problem

After searching around, I found several posts that suggested reseating all the relays and fuses under the hood. After checking, I noticed nearly all of them were not seated well. I pushed them all down and I haven't had the problem since.
