It is to the left of the bottom of the battery tray next to the radiator hose.

Turn key to on. locate starter solenoid. remove plastic cap covering the solenoid and depress the plunger . this should apply voltage to your starter motor. If it does not turn, then check your fuse. You should have 2 separate fuse / relay panels. One in the engine compartment, and one near your left knee as your sit in the drivers seat. labels for relays and fuses are on the insides of the access panels. Find the starter in any vehicle by following the largest lead coming out of your engine compartment relay panel. Since the starter moves a toothed flywheel that is coupled to the transmission, it will be attached to the motor with the business end pointed at the rear of the motor. thisshould be located low, usually on the right side of the tranny.

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

Car won't start.. It just clicks. Tried jump starting it but it wouldn't do anything but click.

check for corrosion at the terminals of the battery and also the starter, if thats clean ,, your starter may be stuck, if you remove the starter you can bench check it by attaching a jumper cable (positive side) to the post for the starter, and tapping the negative side of the Jumper to the case of the starter,, it should Jump into position, Prior to doing that check,, look for any blown fuses, but if its clicking,, Its trying so I doubt its a fuse issue

Check your starter solenoid. Sometimes the wires loosen, or the solenoid just goes bad. Check to make sure all wires are firmly attached. Hope this helps.

Does this car have any electrical power? Check the 'Main' fuse in the box under the hood. It could also be listed at 'BATT' or 'ALT' fuse. If the car has no electrical power and you know the battery is good, make sure the cables aren't hooked up backwards. Try these things and let us know if it works.

Will not always jump start. Check battery connection and corrosion at terminals and check connections at starter. If all connections are good while trying to start it have someone tap on the starter and or starter solenoid. If starts while tapping suspect bad starter. Check Voltage at battery should not be lower than 11.5 if so suspect bad battery when put under a load such as starting a/c lights etc..

Wont start just clicks

is the battery fully charged? will it jump start/ if the battery is good and it wont jump start. It sounds like a bad starter, sometimes on a GM auto you can tap the starter housing with a hammer and get it to start if this works you will need to get a new starter. Note tap the starter dont beat on it.
