You need to check if your heater core is pluged Disconncet the two hoses that go to it there under the hood onleft side of fire wall 5/8ths inch hoses Take a garden hose this is easyer if you buy 2 feet of 5/8ths hose cut ti in half so you end up with 2 one foot lenghts Plug then on the outlet and inlet of the coreput i nozzle on your hose and see if the water will flow throught the core switch from one side to the other not to much pressure and this should clean it enough to get it working Then change your antifreeze and back the system twice before putting new antifreeze in not serviceing the cooling system is what causes this problem

My envoy idles up and down when i turn my defroster is on

When you place your controls on defrost it turns your air conditioner on - depending what the heat level is set on the air conditioner will cycle on and off to regulate temp. Anytime the A/C runs the idle sensor will bring the idle up

2000 buick regal winshield will not defrost i have ice inside and out

If you are getting heat inside the car, the defroster should also work. There is a control switch problem that doesn't switch to defrost from heat, or the compressor for the air conditioner is not functioning...it provides heat for defrosting as very dry air to the heater box.

Heater & defroster works fine but inside car windows keep fogging

So you have the vent settings to blow out of the windshield vents and still have fogging?

You can dry out the air more quickly if you use the air conditioner setting. It sounds backwards, but this is exactly what the manual in my older car said to do. (Some cars are electronic control and won't let you do this however - or they do it automatically with the defrost vent settings).

For the older car, I would set the heat to the hottest setting and press in the a/c button. The a/c dries out the air, but it does not have to be set to run cold.

Another thing that could help is to make sure that you do not have the vents set for "recycling" the air. The picture should look like a u shapped arrow. Make sure it is not pressed in.

When i turn on the heater it seems to affect the transmission.the jeep seems to bog down when accelerating but as soon as i turn off the heat it runs fine.

well as far as the bog down issue it will bog down a bit in defrost mode because it uses the air conditioner compressor to control humidity does it do the same thing when u use the air conditioner

but if u are putting on the vents it shouldnt use the compressor and if it is then i would that the selector switch is malfunctioning

My Defrost doesn't work

Check to see if the duct hose to the defroster vents has come loose. If air is blowing out under the dash when you have the control set to defrost, then this is likely.
