Question about 2008 Ford Fusion

Open Question

The heater (blower) on my 2007 Ford Fusion is not working. The problem used to be intermittent (it would turn on randomly), but now it doesn't work at all. I had a similar problem happen about a year ago, and when I brought it to the dealer, I was told it was a blown fuse. Before I had brought the car to them, I checked all of the fuses (underneath the hood, and underneath the steering wheel), but none of them were blown. I rechecked all the fuses this time around, but with the exception of the blower relay, which doesn't display anything to show if it is blown, they are all fine. Can it be the blower relay fuse, and if so, why does it keep blowing a fuse? Also, dealerships take a while to schedule an appointment, but I live in Northern MN where the weather is already turning cold. I need recommendations for a good place to bring it? (ex would a local mechanic be fine) Also, my car is no longer covered under warranty.

SOURCE: 2008 Ford Escape Horn Fuse keeps blowing after

I would trace the wire from the horn and see if it was inadvertently damaged when the alternator was installed. If you have a voltmeter, you can remove the horn fuse and check to see if there is continuity between the horn (non hot side) of the fuse and the car body. This would indicate a short in the wire running from the fuse box to the horn. You can also look around the alternator mounting area to see if any wires are being pinched. Hope this helps. Good luck!

SOURCE: ford explorer eec relay

Try a new relay first. This may not be good news if that does not work. If you can find the EEC (computer) and unplug it, then replace the fuse-if it blows you have another cheaper part on the circuit thats bad.
If the fuse does not blow, then the EEC must be shorted.
If you have to replace the EEC you may find a kindly dealer with a cash-for-clunker sitting there to violate. Salvage yards have them, Ebay sells them. I have seen them at swap meets for $20. They are a high price part even rebuilt at Dealers or autoparts stores.

2007 ford fusion heater fan not working.it was working sometimes but now it wont work at all.

Probably the blower motor is bad , worn brushes , armature commutator . They get worn spot on the commutator . You mite try hitting on the bottom of the blower motor housing to see if that makes it work . If it starts working the motor is bad .

Ford fusion 2007, blown blower fuse, replaced fuse, works at highest speed only (highest of 4) the other three setings don't work.

hte blower resistor is shot, near the blower motor, have the blower motor checked my guess is that it requiring too much power to run, hence the blown fuse

I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. If I try to turn on

Probability is that the variable relay is burned only allowing partial power to the blower motor.
