The clicking sound is the solinodfor the started eighter your battery is vary weak or there is a bad connection at the battery or a main ground cable or at the starter it self its likely this can be fixed by moveing wires and seeing if the problen goes away but do it one at a time so you konw what or where the connection problem If if you have a battery tester check that first or see if you can jump start with booster cables if it starts its likely the battery

One of pulleys makin a grinding and clicking sound

The bearings in the one of the pulleys is bad probably the idler pulley or the belt tensioner. If it has a lot of miles and they have never been replaced, do them both and a new belt.

My 1990 ford mustang lx with a 2.3l 5sp. wont start its making a dead battery sound when i try to start it i put a new battery, solenoid, and the starter check out great and its still makin the dead...

There is a starter relay--probably in the relay box by the battery. Swap the starter relay with the horn relay and try to start the car. If that works, replace the relay. If it doesn't work, please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6222268-engine_doesnt_crank_turn_over . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

My honda prelude stalled an now the stater is makins a funny nois and the moter wont turn over wat do i do

sounds like you have a dead battery and possible a bad altenator have the battery checked out and replace if bad. If not recharge and if the car starts have the charging system checked out you may have a bad altenator or voltage regulator probably built in the altenator. Possibly the starter but not likely since it stalled while running.

Wont Start

is it a sparking sound ? One of the spark plugs could be grounding with the plate. The spark is "jumping'. but it usually starts but "misses" runs a little rough.
