Question about 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Super Cab
Service soon light comes on temperature gauge go in red service code is P1299 loss power turned engine off went back to normal keep doing it
P1299 Cylinder head over temperature protection active.
I would want to know why this is overheating. It could be a fuel issue, timing is too advanced (due to faulty sensors) or just a duff temperature sensor itself.
Needs investigation though as performance will be affected.
