Unless you are very mechanically inclined and have a good collection of tools, including a lift and a hoist, you are going to end up paying a shop redo your clutch. It is 10 years old and that is good service life for a clutch.

I have a 5 speed wen i come off the cluch and get up to high rpm it fill like my trans is sliping

The clutch is probably worn out and slipping and needs to be replaced. With a manual transmission, if the engine revs and the car doesn't accelerate at the same pace, the clutch is slipping. This usually gets very very worse almost instantly. The clunking could be related or it could be an unrelated problem you're just noticing now that you have a slipping clutch. Has the car recently made clicking noises while turning sharp corners or in reverse? If yes, maybe a bad CV joint. If you don't have the technical aptitude to remove the transmission and replace the clutch, I suggest taking it to a shop to have them check into it. Clutches are a wear item and go bad around 90,000 miles of use.

The overdrive light is flashing, it shifts hard into gear and then it slipped so bad it wouldn't pull. parked it and it drove fine until it heated up and wouldn't go into reverse. It has cooled off and now...

Drives okay in 2 gear but if I put it into drive is revs like neutral after 2nd gear 2000 sunfire 2.2 auto

You might check your transmission fluid level... but I'm thinking it is more serious than that.

My mk4 golf cuts out when clutch is applied, not every time but enough times to make me concerned and frustrated.

oh dear, you drive with your foot on the cluch then? or hold the cluch down at the lights insted of knocking it out of gear? never hold down the cluch for more that 30 seconds at a time,,,,,naughty naughty! this is just one of the prices you pay for that,
its you cluch release bearing, its seised up on you, cluch riding dose that! its only a little bearing!!!!!
the fix is a new cluch bearing, but what it costs to take the gear box out to replase the bearing it would be cheeper in the long run to have a compleat new cluch fitted, and then lurn not to ride the new cluch as much,,,,and all this just to pull away a fuw seconds faster??? this is a £350-£500 job now
how frustrated do you feel now?????

Cluch is slipping after changing it

everytime you change a clutch, it is good practice to change the pressure plate also. in this case, thats what I would do.

Cluch won't dis engage

How long have you had your car? How many miles on it?

Maybe the clutch plate gone, if the plate is not thick enough, you won't change the gear.
