The bottom of the window is fastened to the top of the regulator, keep pulling on it and something bad can happen. put a piece of cardboard in there and get to a parts store and acquire a regulator.

How do i change window motor in drivers side of 2000 toyota sienna

Hai,

Here are complete step-by-step instructions (with photos) on how to remove a door panel:

http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/remove-a-door-panel-from-any-vehicle-without-a-diagram

Here are complete step-by-step instructions (with photos) on how to test a power window motor to determine whether the problem is in the motor/regulator or the switch/wiring

http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-regulator

First remove the inside door panel. It's attached by snaps around the perimeter. Pry between the panel and the door with a screwdriver, moving the screwdriver to a place where the panel is most solidly attached, and pry hard there so the snap releases. Then work around the panel to unsnap all the others. There may not be snaps at the top, but instead you lift the panel after unsnapping the bottom and sides. You probably also have to remove anything that's attached to the panel or that goes through it, usually attached with screws, maybe with pry-off cover plates. But do the snaps first and you'll be able to tell where else the panel's attached.
Then remove the lower part of the plastic waterproofing sheet, by pulling it away from the mastic around the perimeter. Pull up just enough to get at the motor mounting bolts.
Then undo those bolts with a wrench, and remove the complete motor and regulator assembly. The end of the long arm of the regulator will have a knob, which fits into a slot on the track at the bottom of the window. You'll have to slide it along the track till the slot gets wider to allow the knob to pull out.
You'll probably have to separate the motor/gear assembly from the regulator assembly. Buy a new or reconditioned motor/gear assembly from a parts store or junkyard or online. They'll probably want your old one in exchange (except the junkyard).

Install motor/regulator to 2000 camry solara

It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver,8" X 4" block of wood and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. Next use the flat screw driver and pry out the black plastic mirror cover from the inside of the door. Pry out the switch panel ( aka master switch panel) with the flat screw driver and disconnect it. On the side of the door panel just above the striker is this plastic push pull typeof a hold in screw. Use flat screw driver to get it to move a little then pull it out with the needle nose. Depending on which door your doing if you have a map folder ( driver or front passenger door) in the door there are two more screw to remove on the bottom of the door.
Now the inside door handle is tricky it comes out in two pieces. Use philips and get the only hold down screw you see out.( you may have to pry out al ittle screw cover first) Now the handle cover is removed by placeing the flat screw driver on the rear of the outside of the cover top and on the outside rear bottom to release the tangs that are holding it onto the panel.Pry it out lightly you may have to place the screw driver over the top of the door release button and pry that way. Don't loose your cool its a pain but it will fall out. Once its removed unhook the panel.

Next lift the plastic cover and remove the six gold2_bing.gif bolts first(For motor and regulator) Then push the window down till you see the two bolts holding the window to the regulator .Remove them, BEFORE YOU PULL OUT THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR YOU WILL SEE TWO TANGS THAT HELP HOLD THE REGULATOR AND MOTOR TO THE DOOR MARK THE RELOCATION , NOW pull out the motor and regulator have an assistant hold up the glass while you place the two blocks of wood to hold up the window. Now order your regulator and installation is in reverse. Good luck kate. Keep me posted.

This procedure is for both regulator and motor You take them out as a unit then once there out there are three torque screws that seperate the motor from the regulator. It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver,6" X 2" block of wood and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. The drivers side, rear door window will not raise. Also the passenger side front door will not operate. I am needing some kind of directions as to how to go about changing out the 'motor and the...

The motor is the regulator its one part.
You'll need a block of wood ( to hold up window if you don't have an assistant).
Remove screws from door panel pry out switch and discon it from connector.
The inside door handle is a little tricky use a flat screw driver and insert it on top of door handle trim where thesilver release handle rests and pry out the trim. Do it on top of the trim and on the bottom where the silver release handle sits. There are two parts to this door handle,Its trim and the handle itself.
Once you got the trim off the panel is easy as pie. just don't forget to pull electrical connector threw panel.
Next two screws to remove handle.
Pull up plastic cover and you'll see the three copper bolts to release the regulator. Then two bolts to release the window from regulator. Use a marker to mark position of bolts for regulator and window.
Installiation is reverse.
Remember install regulator first then put window on regulator. And don't forget to pull electrical connector threw panel to re connect switch.

I have an A4 (technically my wife does) and the windows are electronic. The rear paasenger window (on the passenger side) willcome down but I have to pull it up manually.

there is a little clip that has fallen out. so the window is not really connected to the window reglulator it is a fairly easy fix at a shop. you would need to get the window pin that is what it is called about a 2 dollar part remove the inner door trim. then the metal cover behind that also you will need to push in the black plastic rivots that can be pushed in with a phillips screw driver hit it hard to push them in. unscrew the door lacth also you will need a t-20 torx bit to release the little cap next to your door handle release the black insert that is attactched to the door handle that releases the door latch. remove door seal (the black metal cover) pull back just enough so you can see the window clip that is the white clamp looking thing its where the window is held in at insert the window clip make sure that the open parts of the clip are opposite eachother push into window hole.It will be at the bottom of the window. make sure the clip straiht up meaning the little slits are straight up and down not pointing toward the front or rear of the car. then reinstall the metal cover with a few of the bolts. firmly but not to hard push window down into the clamp portion of the window regulator till you hear a loud snap make sure the window now goes up in down with switch. then reasemble all back together. thats it good luck hope that helps.

4 door sedan left front window regulator manual

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door. Slide the retaining clip on the window crank to the side and the crank will pop off. Then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything. You'll need to disconnect the bolts holding the regulator to the frame and connecting the regulator to the base of the window (make sure you use wedges to hold the window up) and the regulator will slide out of the door.. reverse to put back

How do you take off the inner panel of the left rear pass. side to get to the window motor?

first locate the rubber plugs and remove to reveal bolts holding window to regulator. youll need to move the window up or down till you see them. remove glass. remove latch bolts surrounding latch. they may take 12point torx which you HAVE to use. after removing all bolts around module pull bottom out and towards the inside of car. it takes a little jiggling to work the regulator track away from door shell. once it is out and free you can pull it down untill you gain access to wires and rods that must be disconnected to pull all the way out.
