Question about 1994 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

1 Answer

Im having problems starting my car. When I turn the key to start it up, theres no luck there but when I rev it up the car starts. As long as I keep my foot on the pedal the car stays on, as soon as I take it off it putts out. I have no idea whats wrong with it. I checked the basics (oil etc) but still no luck. Any solutions please? It will be much appreciated. Thanks

It's like faulty mass air flow sensor must check first do one thing open engine hood then have look between air cleaner housing and intake air manifold you can see one electric cable fitted on to the air cleaner hose near the air cleaner hosing disconnect the electric cable, turn the cable lock plastic nut anticlockwise and disconnect it, if now better than before it's faulty air flow sensor,

I can't figure out the direct problem to fix my suzuki aerio, can anyone hep me out?

Hi this can be some times a hard one to solve with out standing along side the vehicle, first thought is that the ignition switch start / system is the area to look. When you start the engine it runs then stops, can you hear if the fuel pump is still running? Be quick as it will also stop after 2 or 3 seconds. Has any work / repairs been carried out with in the area of the steering column, check ignition and pump fuses, they will be labeled in the fuse box, check that all relays are seating correctly, (under the hood) Just thinking, apart from the normal warning lights are there any lights showing that are not normally on? ( in the dash console) Was the vehicle running ok before this happened, or was there problems before? As there are other areas to check such as sensor switches the above thoughts are to me the first places I would be checking, assuming that this just happened with no warning. Good luck P

The Alternator is part of the charging system,
so why would you mention that,it has nothing to
do with compression,fuel,spark,air or cylinder
recognition !

You talk about fuel pressure
What is the pressure with a gauge?
on the fuel rail.Should be 38 to 42 lbs approx

Do you have injector pulse or spark, either one?

Are you back to the starter it'self? Test that

Hard to tell if you mean a no crank or no start

To say it won't turn over doesn't mean it won't
have fuel or spark,it has to do with the starter
turning the motor

Most people with a no start say it won't turn over,
that is not the case when it does but doesn't start

Get a code test done and see what you find...sounds like a bat throttle position sensor but without proper testing, I would not run out and buy one,
