First lift the car on jack stands the oil filter and oil drain plug is underneath the car. The oil drain plug is on the bottom of the engine block, with the filter stationed nearby.]

Screw into the side of the transmission, will have a three wire harness plug going to it.

If the starter is turning the motor over, you might want to check to see if the fuel pump is working

My friends 2000 plymoth neon leaks oil...bad


the most common oil leak is the front cranshaft seal, as for the 3rd brake light replace the bulb(s)

Remove starter


You will need to remove the front motor mount by placing a hydraulic jack under the engine (but not on the oil pan), lifting the engine slightly. Remove the front motor mount, and lower the jack (and engine) which will allow you access to the last bolt and allow for ease of removal/installation of the starter.
