2003 saturn ion wont turn over at all dont even get the usall starter clicking just one click every once in awhile

How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit Looking at a wiring diagram an testing the starter circuit with a DMM - digital multi-meter is the way to find the problem . Free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on engine then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue link .
Looking at the diagram you will see this starting circuit is computer controlled . Ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module. A message to the ECM - engine computer from the BCM requesting a start over the serial data network (class2) will energize the relay sending B+ voltage to the S terminal on the starter solenoid . Your best bet mite be to have it towed to a qualified repair shop.

Car doesnt want to start. all lights come on when in the on position however when I turn it to start nothing happens it dont even try to turn over it just clicks 2002 hyundai xg350

The starting system consists of:
  • starter motor
  • starter switch, part of the ignition switch
  • starter motor solenoid relay switch
  • starter solenoid
  • starter drive
When you turn your key to start your engine, it just clicks, right? If so, more than likely this is due to a bad battery. Even though your battery may appear to be fully charged, it may have a dead cell, or worse. If you get a jump, does the vehicle start? If so, replace your battery.

Possible sources of the problem if the engine does not crank or the relay clicks:
  1. Battery
  2. Starter motor
  3. Starter motor relay
  4. Ignition switch
  5. Damaged fuse
  6. Anti-theft system
  7. Circuitry

Car wont start while the engine light is clicking as soon as the engine light stop clicking car will start

Some cars do same thing even when they are new. Some are4 starting to do so when they are older, wiring sistem is not so fresh, maybe some tarnish in contacts and that makes the engine cheking little bit more complicated. That is nothing bad, computer is just cheking the engine before start.

Car wont start

It is the battery - you must not have the cables securely placed on the terminals. The same thing happened to me a few months ago.

99 Saturn ran low on oil, now will not crank or start. Is there an oil pressure reset switch? Battery is good, fuses good. Oil dipstick had a little oil on it on return from a long driving trip. Next day...

hope you did not lock up your engine from lack of oil.
first check your starter, even your engine locked up you still should hear your starter click when you start.
try to turn the crank pulley ( use a socket fit the crank pulley bolt ) to see if it turn. it does not turn that mean you will need another engine.
good luck
