Either the battery is dead or your starter, try jump starting the vehicle. if it is not the battery then have someone tap on the starter while the ignition switch is turned. Hope this helped Tim

That sounds like a discharged battery or bad starter. Lets get the battery charged and tested. If its ok you may have a bad starter. Good Luck!!!

When i turn the ignition, my car wont start but it makes a clicking sound coming from the fuse box

What make model an year vehicle ? Your more then likely hearing a relay's contacts closing. On most vehicles now a days the ignition switch is an input to a module (BCM,GEM, SJB ) .A low voltage signal the module reads an then energizes relays to turn systems on an to turn the starter cranking the engine .Find out which relay is making the noise , should tell you on the inside of the fuse box cover what it's for . Go on youtube an check out videos on how to test relays an checking circuits there control .You can jump power from pin 30 to 87 to see if the starter will turn the engine over !

I tried to start my 94Sunbird-I heard clicking for a few seconds & then nothing. Battery is good & it couldn't be jump started. How can I find out if it's the starter or something else? help?

one easy way is to have someone hold key in crank ing position, then another person needs to hit or tap the starer housing itself.if engine begins to crank intermittently or ur cliking noise turns into small jolts of the starter trying to crank then u can bet its the strtr motor. u do need a charged batt for this test. also chek ur battery grounds they can dramatically affect starter operation if we have a voltage drop anywhere in starter circuit .chek batt cables r tight on batt posts, loose batt cables on battery will also give u clicking noise w no starter operation

Try connecting a jump pack to the battery or take battery off and completely re charge the battery if u still get clicking noises it could be starter motor

is the earth cable giving a good engine and body contact.does your starter have two terminals and if so are they the right way around?is the battery any good?Is the engine able to be turned over by hand Make sure you have agood 12v supply to the starter solenoid when cranking the engine An engine test probe/light would be of a lot of use for you to do that test
