I was haveing problems with my fuel sending units and fixed the problem now my check engine light is back on and then off and then on it mostly comes on when im going up a hill and it bogs down and the light comes on i took the car to auto zone and they said it was the knock sensor but that does not sound right since the car loses its go when the engin light comes on i was thinking it might be the pressure sensor but not sure if anyone has some tips for me before i dump some mony into it i would realy appreciate it thanks
I have the same problem the red check engine light :(
Hi I have a Subaru Legacy RS Twin Turbo that isnt boosting at all.Can any one help please? Thanks Viki.
You need to check the codes in the computer. Under the steering wheel on left hand side there are two plugs green in colour plug them together with the ignition off. Once together turn ignition but dont start motor the check engine light will flash in pattens which can be found at this web site: http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm
There are instructions also on this site hope this helps
The codes, you can read.
You can see two plugs, they are pars. One pars of colours green and the other black or white.
you sure the ignition off , Plugs green colours plug them together, attention, only the green and turn ignition but dont start motor. The check engine ligth will flash, the flash long are numbers 10, the flash short are numbers 1.
Example: the check engine ligth flash long 2 times, the code is 20
or flash long 3 times and flash short 4 times the code is 34.
What code it is ??
He comes some codes.

Usually answered in minutes!
Yes i do have the same problem.
I have an obd2 (gadjet to read the codes when engine light appears). After refueling it hat happenned that the fuel meter went crazy. But after a few days it dissapears. the code was referring to the fuel level in the tank. However, the code for the knock sensor, even though i erase it reappears after about ten miles of running. I havnt replace it yet. But i supposse I am due!!!
god lock
I have the same problem, The check engine light comes on after I run the car for about 15 minutes or so. The light goes off if I let the car sit for a little while(more than 24 hours). But I got the light checked (at autozone) and its says the problem is the knock sensor, the thing is the car runs fine until the light comes on then it seems like it is bogging down. I didn't think it was the knock sensor because I also had a cylinder 3 & 4 mis-fire code previously until I replaced the plugs. Anyway I ordered the sensor and will put it in this week, I will report back if that fixes the problem.
