Question about 1999 Honda Odyssey
Where can I find a diagram or manual on where or how to replace the EGR valve on a 1999 Honda Odyssey? Also the 3rd gear pressure switch is needing replaced....I would appreciate any help...considering the dealer wants 500.00 for the EGR and 250.00 for the pressure switch in labor alone....I know the parts are 100-150 a piece...but 1,000.00 for parts and labor is ridiculous. Thanks
I fonud out today that the only place to get the 3rd clutch press sw is from the dealer. It only cost $70. It's a harness type switch (external to the transmission) so it shouldn't be that difficult to replace.

I highly recommend you buy an aftermarket service manual from Haynes or Chilton.
They are based on a complete tear-down and will not only help you with this problem but will give you an idea if the service shop is being honest about the amount of labor involved.
EGR valves are normally found on the exhaust manifold or header.
This is where they get the gases that are recirculated into the intake.
The other problem I can't comment on but the manual would surely help.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
