I'm so tired of my tired pressure sensor on my 2003 Pthfinder.. Not only does the light stay on but more annoying is the continual series of audio shrills. Even after I balance the tire pressure, it will go off especially with any temp change at all which of course we rarely get in Colorado - yea right!! Help Me. How do I disconnect the sensor??

Do you have someone you might ask who does know? This is really frustrating. Would there be a fuse that was only for that sensor or would it be for several things. Is there anyway to identify which fuse it is because it only makes the sound while driving so hard to identify at that time... Thanks for your time!! George

There is no way to disconnect sensors that i know of they should not go off with just temp changes would be set to come on at 27-28 psi and if your running 35psi temp changes wont fluctuate that much. next time it is going off have someone scan it and see what tire sensor is showing low and what the pressures they are reading re. i think you will find have a faulty sensor

To be totally honest i have no idea where the pick up unit is ,but if your lucky it may have a fuse that can be pulled out failing which find the noise and pull that out ,you are not the only to complain about these silly devices as i get no end on renaults ,where they keep going off or if i rotate the wheels on a service like i was taught too 40 yrs ago ,so a piece of black tape and pull teh audiable alarm out .then its back to proper mechanics like changing the back wheel for the front and the spare included as well ,

Low tire pressure light staying on 2003 Oldsmobile Alero put 45 pds of air in..

I don't have your car, but most tire pressure systems seem to be based on rolling circumference of your tires. If one of your tires is smaller than the others, that triggers the sensor...
I would start by checking that all four of your tires have similar pressures, and that they're all the same size.

Why does low tire pressure light stay on

Because the tire pressure is too low? You might want to buy a decent tire pressure gauge to check tire pressure. Even then, I sometimes have to slightly "over-inflate" my tires for the light to go off. By over-inflate, I don't mean by much. It makes me think that the standard gas station air pumps are slightly off on the low side. I still think there must be a switch or prompt somewhere that will also solve this problem, but have yet to find it. Anyway, it is a pretty minor issue, so I wouldn't sweat it. At least, I don't, although the light can be annoying. I can live with annoying!

The tire sensor comes on frequently showing low tire pressure. These are expensive tires. What's the problem

make sure tire pressure is above 35 psi. if it continues to come on your tire pressure sensor are bad or val stems your sensor is on the inside of tire connected to val stem. they are expensive.

My t.p.m.s. light continually stays on.odometer won't go off

The dealer should test all the sensors to know is they are work well in clude the sensor in spare tire. And make sure the tires are good the tire pressure are OK. If there are more than one sensors are fault but only one was replaced. the light will still keep falshing.

The tire pressure guage is on. All tires have been checked and filled with air. Now the light won't go out. How do I reset it?

Some pressure monitor systems won't reset until the car has been driven for a distance at highway speeds.

If the sensor continues to stay on, then you may have a faulty sensor. It will be tricky to diagnose which tire has the faulty sensor though

Tire pressure sensor stuck on

The tire senser can be reset with a skanner that most trie stores should do for free. You deck instaler may have unplugged the passager air bag, shame on them. Your deck man may have caused the other problems too and it may not have the tire moniter without the stock radio.

Low tire pressure light stays on and the tire pressure is up on all 4 tires is there a sensor or wire that is bad and also where do i look for it at ?

The tire pressure monitor must be reinitialized. There should be a tire button to press and hold or if you have idrive then it will be an option under car settings I think. Your BMW owners manual will have the exact procedure.

Low pressure light staying on .

the system will monitor all 5 tires. if one is 3-4 pounds differant or 1 of the tires are missing it will come on. doesn't matter what tires you have because the valve stem does the work.
