It is most likely the clutch on your ac compressor has siezed. start the truck.....turn on a/c and look to see if the pulleys are all moving

2004 Chrysler Voyager, had an acrid burning smell and a lot of smoke when heater is turned on, also a rattling/squealing noise, all stops when heater turned off?

you more than likely have a sciezed air con compressor. most modern cars have climate control which uses air con even when demisting and when engaged the electric clutch tries to engage but the pump itself will not turn, clutch will get red hot and burn your belts

I need to replace the air conditioner blower fan on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

You need to pull the blower motor (under dash on pass side) and vac out the debris that is in the ducts. If the fan is turning, you may have had a mouse take up residence in the heater, and there is stuff hitting the blower as it turns. Hope this helps.

Squealing sound when air conditioning is on and turning left

same problem...not an a/c issue. When the fan is on and when you turn left.sounds like something rubbing in the blower. took the blower off, no obvious blockage.

The air conditioner quit blowing, even with just the vent on it does not blow.

does the heater work?if not it could be as simple as a fuse. OR the blower motor went bad.If the heater does work it has something to do with the air conditioner.I hope this helps

My heater will blow air, then not blow air, then work very weak. Do I need to just replace the blower motor?

its very possible, the blower motor is under the passenger side of the dash and next time its hanging up and running slowly find the lump sticking down and give it a a light to medium strength hit with a rubber hammer or something comparable. if it picks up and runs right you're looking at a bad blower motor if not it gets pretty complicated from there and you may need to seek a local mechanic.

Squealing sound when I turn on the air conditioner in the car

It sounds to me like its a loose compressor belt that gets hot and stops, have it tightened or replaced if its old and brittle. could also be the compressor going bad,

Thumping sound under dash when start or shut down.

I take a shoot here you can try this. try pulling the fuse or fuses that go to your heater blower and heater controls. If it stops check your heater blower it may be going bad, if you find nothing there, leave the blower unplugged and try turning your key on and see if you still hear it. If so I would think that the heater control is mess up and open and close the air blend door or you may have a wire shorted out under the dash some where.
