Do you have a similar diagram for the same year but for the 4.0 liter. Impossible to visually see behind the engine to see the connections.

2001 f150 the stater coil was bad I know this because I had to play with it and then it'd start I put a new one in but it still won't start any suggestions?

check the wires are correctly connected. replace the coil to distributor wire/lead. guessing the vehicle is gas/petrol.
check the distributor cap and rotor for wear/pitting, if you find excessive wear replace them, maybe the plug wires/leads also. There is not much more than this that I can suggest if you are sure that the coil was the problem in the first instance.
To check, remove a spark plug, insert the top end, in the wire/lead so that the conductor is making with the contact in the wire / lead , place the plug and lead very near, but not touching, a metal surface, then crank the engine over, or get a friend/family member to help, and observe whether a spark occurs at the plug electrode. If all is right in the ignition system you should see a healthy spark as the current earths.
If this does not happen please resubmit the query.

Where is the coil pack located at on a 1987 Nissan Pulsar. Also spark plugs been changed car still not starting

The link will show you what it looks like. If you follow the leads back from the spark plugs, that will take you to the distributor 9a circular cap with 5 wires). In the centre of the distributer, there is a single lead, follow that one and it will take you to the ignition coil. 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX Ignition Coil Hitachi

Initial start up the engine sounds like its running on 2 cylinders under powered intil the temp gauge reads normal ???? any body got the answer please

Cold starting misfires can often be caused by either tired high tension spark plug leads or ignition coil packs. If replacing leads, then replace with a full, new set. Coils can be changed individually, but it is often the case that if one has failed, then the others aren't far behind. Some cars have individual coil packs on each spark plug. Some cars have a single pack for all plugs and some have coil packs which may control two or more plugs.

To check for a misfire (ignition failure) follow these steps:

(Cold start) (Use a pair of insulated pliers)

1) Start the vehicle

2) When the vehicle starts misfiring, disconnect plug leads or coil pack connections one at a time. If the vehicle idles even more roughly, then that plug or pack should be considered fine.
Replug each connection before disconnecting the next one. Once you disconnect a plug lead or coil pack connection and find no difference in poor engine running, then you have likely found the offending cylinder. Check the spark plug condition, lead and/or coil condition and connections on that cylinder.

3) Replace components as necessary.

Replace spark plugs first then look for white arcing marks around coils and ignition leads, replace if any arcing marks are showing.Could run car at night and look for any electrcal tracking around coils and leads much more visible in dark condition.

ACURA TL 2000 check engine light is flashing

See if your car has an ignition control module. They will go bad over time and cause random engine misfiring. Just went thru it with my 2002 Buick LeSabre. 120,000 miles on the engine. Replaced plugs, plug wires and check the coils. It was the ICM.

Where are the spark plugs hidding in a kia sportage engine ? can you show me a picture

Hi there,

First you need to remove the air intake assembly then remove the accelator cable braket. After that you will need to remove the 6 bolts and coil cover from cylinder head cover. Then, remove 4 bolts and the 2 coils from the cover. Disconnect the tension leads from the spark plugs by twisting the boot and removing.

The finally you can now see the spark plugs illustrated below.

I hope that help you find the spark plugs..
