The center trim panel is held on with spring clips.
Open the ash tray, and start at the lower corners, pulling hard. I use a plastic trim tool with a lip on it, so get a grip on the panel.

Once the lower corners are released, you can work your way up the panel to the top ( spring clip locations circled in black in the picture below ):

How do you put normal cd player in 2004 model ford fusion

You will need an adapter kit for the dash panel specific for the Fusion or a multi kit, both availible at an Auto Parts store. You should also buy the wiring harness for the Car as well, this will make life much easier on you! Connect the harness to the stereo, following the schematic/diagram. Pop the dash panel apart and remove the old stereo. Slide the adapter plate over the wires FIRST, then connect the wire harness, put the adapter plate in place and then slide the stereo in place, re-assemble the dash...

I have a 1987 trans am gta tpi 5.7 350 i just bought the kid i got it from said the anti theft chip fried so he just took it out and spliced the wires said it had no problems running or staring then some...

If it is the antitheft, there will be a light on the dash that says SECURITY. If you see that light, then here is a link to help.

When someone steals a stereo, if they rip it out and damage wires, you could have a short behind the dash. Common practice on old cars was to run a wire from the ignition to the stereo deck so that when the car turned off, so did the deck. This might be the case

On my 2006 F-150 everytime I go to restart the engine radio resets and tach acts like it is stuck. Any idea's?

Check the connections on your battery terminals. A bad or loose connection will make your radio reset each time you start your vehicle. Other places you might look are hot wires leading to your fuse box, if you have an after-marked radio installed. In some situations, the hot lead going to your fuse box may be shorting out. If your tach is stuck, you have crossed wires under your dash, also a case that will happen if you have an after-market stereo installed.

Problem with aftermarket stereo wireing

seriously the answer is very easy the yellow wire from the deck is constant power weather the truck is on or off it should always be hot. The red is the ignition wire which simply turns the deck on when the ignition key is turned on and the black is ground besides the actual speaker wires these are the only wires that need to be connected. if they are properly connect there is a good chance that there is a short somewhere
