How to get 2000 Toyota 4Runner out of gear when battery is dead?

There is a shift lock override button on the shifter in the upper left corner, it may have a small cover on it the size of a dime or smaller. Pop this cover off and press the button inside. This will work.

What kind of batteries is suitable for the keyless remote for 1999 Toyota 4Runner? Please and thank you!

firstly make sure that the batteries can be replaced as many remotes are unrepairable, if the batteries do come out they should have a number on them, just take them to an electronics store & they should be able to sell you a compatible battery.......hope this helps......cheers.

You need to do some front brake work. They need to come apart at least once a year, to remove rust, lube and check rotor condition.
