My contour only revs i was driving and when i punched it to get on ths freeway nothing

From the description of the symptoms it seems that you have a transmission failure. Here are some components that can cause these symptoms. 1:Torque converter malfunction 2:Input shaft failure 3:Intermediate solenoid 4:pump failure 5: intermediate band. There are several other components in the transmission that can cause the symptoms described but if the transmission has to be removed they'll be addressed anyway. Items 3 and 5 above can be repaired with the transmission in the car. Sometimes Ford vehicles will send an error code for electrical component failure in the transmission.

    2008 Scion xB speed sensor

Most late model vehicles have a speed sensor which indicates how fast the vehicle is moving by reading the output shaft speed on the transmission. The intermediate shaft speed sensor is used to compare the speed of the internal shaft in the trans with the vehicle speed sensor. If they are far enough apart it indicates slippage in the transmission. Code P0793 is specifically a code for the intermediate shaft speed sensor. I believe the problem is related to the intermediate shaft speed sensor. The vehicle speed sensor (vss) usually logs a P0500 code if I remember correctly

1996 honda accord lx problems getting left side axle into intermediate shaft

I haven't tackled this yet on my 97, but on my previous Honda, the axle was painted on the end and I had to sand it down with some sand paper, otherwise we couldn't get it into the transmission. Otherwise, the splines should line up and you pop it in.
