There is a "steering Wheel position sensor" ($80) that most likely is sending that signal, and most likely in error.Especially, if the SSS message is intermittent. (One day it's on, next it's off).
If you "feel" a different ride, such as pulling to one side or the other or brakes grabbing, then yes, the vehicle needs servicing.
Don't let the service people tell you to inflate your tires (common response).

Posssible charging system fault. Alternator/battery etc. If the battery is not charging and you use vehicle it will breakdown
