Question about 1997 BMW 328
You can't reset the sensor. It is triggered when a wire is ground away by coming in contact with the disc, because of the wear on the pad. The sensor must be replaced with a new one that has the contact wire intact of course.
If you want, you can jumper the lead wires for the sensor (ie short them) and leave the sensor out completely. This will prevent the sensor light on the dash from triggering. But, will also disable its function of warning you when you need brakes.
