The motors typically go bad, not the relay

2003 ford thunderbird coolant fan not working

Most likely a 20 amp fuse. If the fuse is good, Find the coolant fan relay(under hood). Check to see if fan runs with A/C on. If the relay is good, the fan will run continuous with the A/C on. If the fan does not run with A/C on, The Relay is Bad. Check the fan by unplugging the relay and install a 14 Ga. jumper into the normally open terminal position(socket) If fan runs with jumper, check the remaining 2 positions in the socket for Voltage(13v.) If voltage is present, relay is bad. If voltage is not present, Temperature sensor(signal to relay) is Bad. Leave jumper in place to keep from over heating engine. Fan should stop running when Ignition switch is turned off. This engine will blow a head gasket if over heated. A service manual is recommended for component locations and troubleshooting.

1994 ford thunderbird fuse panel diagram

Look on the inside if the panel cover. There is usually a list. Owners manual has it too. If all else fails, I have the shop manual. If youre describing the radiator fan, this is probably on a relay under the hood. Use care! Fan can run with the key off!!!

Who know how to bypass coolent fan Thanks

it's not easy but it can be done, need a relay with harness and some wire. you must tap into the fan wire(positeve 12v) and run it to the switch side of the relay tap power(12v) constant to the relay and also a switch(12v) source and a ground ok it sounds hard but hre's a diagram 29968290-87b0-4ec1-8bba-df60277f7b84.gif

1990 cadillac deville radiator fan wiring diagram?

As you can see, a couple of fan relays. Use a jumper wire on load side of fan relay, the load side is the line with arrowhead. The red wire going to load side of relay, top wire in diagram is hot all the time. As far as the control side of relay, the voltage is fuse protected and goes hot with key on. I couldn't get everything in diagram, the coolant temp sensor is involved. Any applicable trouble codes?

The relay for the radiator fan is inside a controller which is in the engine compartment. You can check online auto parts stores to get a picture of the controller. It runs around $150.

Do you know how to test electrical circuits ? Look at a wiring diagram an check power and grounds . Do you have a volt meter ? You can buy them cheap enough at a parts store . Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams
Enter your vehicle info. - Year , make , model and engine . Under system click on HVAC then under subsystem HVAC controls . Click the search button then the blue links one at a time . Looking at the first diagram do you see the IGN3 HVAC relay #59 located in the under hood fuse / relay box ? That's where the B+ power start's ,then blower fuse # 41 30 amp. check For B+ power on the brown wire at the blower motor you should see B+ voltage on the Orange wire as well with the blower switch in the off position .Do you see how the syatem works ,get's ground through the switch .Videos on youtube on basic automotive electrical testing . check them out ,how to use a volt meter . Learn to test an not guess

Location of fan relay or fuse for motor

I have a 94 Thunderbird SC and the relay is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment behind the headlight assembly and to the left of the radiator. You should see a rectangular shaped relay tucked in there.

Replaced fan twice and it still wont run

check the temp sensor on the lower radiator hose. Have it tested by pulling the plug on the sensor. It is located at the end of the hose towards the engine. If you pull out the plug the fan should go on. If the fan turns on you may need to replace the temp sensor. If it does not turn on check the relay usually found in the small plastic boxes under the hood. The cover of the boxes usually has a diagram to tell what the components are.
