Check your manual. They usuall have fluid capacities listed in the manual. If nothing else call a transmission shop or better yet the dealer. Off the top of my head I think it is between 6 and 9 quarts but I can't be sure. I have not had much experiance with your vehicle

When at a stop oil gage drops to zero and says check gages

Either your oil pump pick up screen is clogged or the oil pump is going out or there is excessive wear on the main bearings. Most likely the screen.
You need to drop the oil pan to access the screen and pump.

How many quarts of transmission fluid does it hold my poniac bonneville 1993

If you drop the pan and change the filter you should have 5-6 quarts on hand. With the car on a level surface add four quarts. Start the engine and with your foot on the brake run the transmission through all the gears for a couple of second in each gear. Put the transmission back in park and check the level. Continue to add 1/2 quart at a time until the fluid level is somewhere between the cold and hot marks. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. How do you replace a power steering pump in a 1995 pontiac bonneville?

It's pretty simple. Just a couple hand tools are all you need. Take the tension off the belt and remove the belt from the pully. Put a drain pan under the pump and remove the lines from the pump. Then remove the bolts holding the pump on. Install in the reverse order.

How many quarts of transmission fluid goes in a transmission

The Transaxle of the 1999 Plymouth Voyager:
(note: all references to quarts are US, not Imperial.)
4 Clyinder engine:
The pan holds 4 Quarts.
If you only drop the pan and not drain the whole system, replenish with 4 quarts. More than 4 quarts will result in busted seals and other problems.

6 cylinder engine:
The pan holds 8.5 Quarts.
If you only drop the pan and not drain the whole system, replenish with 8 quarts. More than 8.5 quarts will result in busted seals and other problems.

Only use ATF+4 in this transaxle.
Do not use Dexron or Mercon

How much transmission fluid is required for a change?

Depending on what type of vehicle it can take as much as 16 to 18 quatrs of ATF , if you are completely flushing the unit. if you are just dropping the pan and draining it without flushing the torque converter then 12 qts. should be on the safe side, make sure you do not over fill or under fill the transmission, check level while trans is in nuetraul with parking brake set, wheels chalked. please rate my help , thanks

If you are dropping the pan be sure to install a new trans filter and pan gasket..

to have the unit professionally flushed by machine can cost as much as $ 200.00 with flush and filter change...

It its for the hole trani & tc - it should be 6 to 9 quarts..

Rate me good ;o)

How do I change the automatic transmission of a Toyota corolla 1995 1300 cc Where can I find the plug? Thank You

To replace all fluid you should first purchase a filter & pan gasket set for about $20. You need a good set of ramps & chocks. Pulll the pan and drain (this is about 1quart). Replace the filter and clean the pan, if necessary with a small amount of kerosene and rinse out with atf. There may be a magnet with a peanut-butter like paste (tranny wear), clean that too and replace. Replace pan being very careful to follow pan tightening sequence & torque. Do not overtighten! Take off ramps. Remove hose from of the trans cooler beneath the radiator leading back to the trans. Have a trans funnel in place in the dipstick filler tube. Start engine in P and have a helper pour in trans fluid at the same rate the fluid is spat out of the hose. This is very critical, do not let it run dry because you are already a quart low from the pan cleaning! the rate is about 15-seconds per quart but you should time how long it takes to fill a quart from the cooler line for best results. stop engine when color of fluid being spat out changes to new fluid. check fluid a couple of times afterwards at different temps to be sure. Good luck. Use synthetic ATF for best results (check the bottle for compliance with manuf)
