Main relay, under driver side dash. If it does start, but it's hard to start all the time, I recommend you replace the fuel pump and coil. Both of those items get weak when the main relay starts to malfunction. I recommend the msd external coil, and upgraded fuel pump. Spend a good bit of money but it will be a one time fix, and you can enjoy your car for a long time.

Honda 2004 civic turns over but wont start. starter fluid gets it going but doesnt stay cranked.. help

Hi Tara,
I would crack the fuel line at the fuel rail and crank the engine, if you have fuel, you know the pump is working. If you have no fuel, check for power at the fuel pump. If there is power at the pump, you will probably need a fuel pump. Let me know if that helps, thanks.

Engine will not start (honda civic 98 ek with a d16 swap)

ok i got a kind rig way to get you going is goto radio shack get what is called a potentiometer(pot) on you immobilizer wires unless you can get them from column hook it up (pot) them turn key and to start hold there and turn (pot) till it turns over when it does turn off key use a ohm meter disconnect wires from (pot)and measure resistance and go back to radio shack and buy a resistor of that value and solder it in the wires you hooked the (pot) to. that should get you back up again.

Make sure your distruibutor rotor in turning while cranking engine, if it is timing belt ok, more then likely your not getting spark to spark plugs check your ignition coil, but more then likely it's going to be your ignition module.

Wont start after being turned off for at least 30 minutes

Im not sure what you mean when you say wont start after being turn off for 30min, do you mean the starter wont turn the motor over after 30min or the engine turn over but it wont fire/run? if it start every time after its cool down. check the coil, the original coil tend to fail with heat over time. if its original coil for being 1990 I would go ahead and place it. distributor Assembly unit will also need replacing if its original and having high miles. a sign of the coil going bad when it get hot it quit working until its cool off. fuel pump can be another causing the problem. hope that help some

96 Honda Civic died, then wont restart.

If you can hear the fuel pump cut in, try the mass air flow sensor. MAF.
