Mel I have a short girlfriend and I gave her my manual shift Saturn. I looked all over hell and found many contraptions for this by searching under orthopedics and little people. The gadgets however were all over 100 dollars so I fashioned a piece of wood with a couple bolts and it did the trick. On a newer car such as yours however, maybe it is worth the expense. These folks were very helpful.

When im driving the car, i accelerate and the car gets no power yet the rpms are going sky high. just had to replace the fly wheel and other clutch parts. it is an 86 vw jetta, manual trans.

86 wow its a classic ,anyway whatever you have done the clutch isnt dis-engaging and its so old i cannot remember if its a hydraulic or a cable clutch ,seem to think its a SELF ADJUSTING cable on this car but i could be wrong but if it is then you will need reset the clutch cable which means taking it off putting it in a vice then ?? sorry iam old now and my memory ? i think i used to hold the main part then sort of twist or turn and push the cable in then hold it in whilst using a piece of bailing wire to hold it in place so it doesnt spring open then refit the cable and once its on then release the wire .But dont quote me for this model as its been a long time

97 maxima clutch pressure wont return

Did you take all the adjustment out that the mechanic adjusted into the push rod? With a new master cylinder, it may be adjusted so far out that the clutch is always disengaged. Try adjusting the push rod back to its initial setting.

I have a 98 vw passat. about a week ago the clutch went to the floor. i reached down and pulled it back up but again it went to the floor and stayed there. i tried this several times before i took off...

hi,
The problem would be the master clutch cylinder that needed to be replace or the replacement cup kit that must be replace!

Go to ur nearest garage to have the replace it or check on it!

When starting my 06 corolla i have to push the clutch all the way to the floor. do i need i adjustment my car only has 53,000 miles but i drive in stop and go traffic everyday

There is a starter cut out switch on the clutch pedal that may be adjusted too low. You do have to have the clutch pedal depressed to crank the starter over. My old Corolla's clutch seemed to be getting lower and lower, but the clutch was OK, the clutch cable ran over a pulley wheel that had broken away from the firewall.

Loss of acceleration. Transmission? Clutch? Cable?

The cable you are refering to should not be slack or, come off tighten it and, secure it also; check the transmission shift cable

I have a 1998 vw jetta tdi 5spd, it is getting hard to shift have to hold clutch to floor and still is rough to shift. Can it be adjusted or is there something I should be checking?

Jetta TDI manual from 1998 was always going with 5 gear speed and with hudraulic clutch. First off all make shure that you don't have any air in this hydraulic. After you are shure that pushing pedal is effective you may think about changing your clutch set. Depending what engine do you have 1Z,ALH or AFN there're diferent clucthes and prices
