FIG : Fig. 14: If any of the idler pulleys were removed from the engine, make certain to reassembly them in the correct manner-Premier and Monaco vehicles

  1. Remove the accessory drive (serpentine) belt.

WARNING The accessory drive belt must be routed correctly. It is possible to install the belt incorrectly and rotate the water pump in the opposite direction causing the engine to overheat. Refer to the appropriate accessory drive belt schematic in this section for the correct belt routing.
To install:
  1. If any of the idler pulleys were removed, they must be installed with the small spacer washer between the pulley and the engine. The inside bushing is installed between the pulley and the locknut.
  2. Install the accessory drive belt on the pulleys.
  3. Install the engine damper mounting bracket onto studs in the engine front cover. Tighten the locknuts to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm) of torque.
  4. Raise the vehicle again, if needed.
  5. Tighten the alternator pivot bolt to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm) of torque.
  6. Tighten the adjusting bolt until the correct tension is obtained-refer to the tensioning procedures found previous in this section. If a new belt is installed, it should be tensioned after 7500 miles (12,070 km) of usage.
  7. Tighten the locking bolt to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm) of torque.
  8. Tighten the alternator pivot bolt to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm) of torque.
  9. Install the splash shield to the vehicle, then lower the vehicle back down to the ground.
  10. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery.

Good Luck

V -belt installition tension adjuster location?

V Belts do not have tensioners, only serpentine belts, normally. V belt systems usually have one component that adjusts and thereby tightens the belt.

How to put on Serpentine belt for 92 Chrysler Lebaron 3.o liter engine

Before replacing or installing the old belt you need to check all of the pulley's that the belt rides on for play. Pay special attention to the spring loaded tensioner pulley. They can sieze and cause the belt to come off.

I found this picture it is a bit large for the screen.
