Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

The check engine light is always on. This has been diagnosed as faulty oxygen sensor. I have a kia sedona 2003 model. How many oxygen sensors do I need to change? Thank you.

please send us the trouble codes. Oxygen sensors are expensive and are often NOT the cause of trouble. With the codes, we can give you specific repair advice, including oxygen sensors, as appropriate. You can get a free scan for trouble codes at your local parts chain.

Well there are a few but a good scanner can tell you which one is the problem some vehicles have as much as four and they are expensive so it is important you change the right one.most auto parts stores like auto zone or advance auto parts will scan your car for free.

I have a 2003 kia sedona. My problem is that it seems to start fine in the morning but if it is hot out or I drive a short distance then turn it off it wont start. Could this be a oxygen sensor problem?

Not likely. 02 sensors will not cause a car to not start, run bad yes. Take it to an auto parts store and have the codes checked. Even if the light isn't on. This sounds like an electrical problem. But starters and fuel pumps will cause a no start after they are warm/ hot. Let me know. Randy

KIa Mentor engine light

if the light came on it could be a fluid level warning. In most models today they don't have a light or gauge for the levels. I would check this first. you mention a hesitation, this could be as simple as changing the fuel filter or a faulty O2 sensor. Best bet is ti have a diagnostic scan done to find out if there is an active code present in your ECM.please rate this.....thanks
