The two lights you mention are also two separate systems in the vehicle. There is always a code set when the Check Engine light comes on. Find an OBDII scanner & scan the ECU (Engine Control Unit) to find any codes. I need to know which code(s), there may be more than one. The Airbag light is a proprietary (Hyundai specific) system with unique coding. That particular system can only be diagnosed by a qualified Hyundai Technician and the appropriate scan device (Hi-ScanPro). Check with your nearest Hyundai Dealership... I doubt that 1999 Accent is still under warranty.

How to reset the check engine light and the abs light and the airbag light

Probably the 3 are independent of each other:
the check engine would come if there is an issue with the system control in the engine.
The ABS is related to the breaking system, either a sensor malfunction, dirt acummulation or a broken fuse.
Same thing with the SRS/Airbag especially if the car it's been in a middle to big accident, so looks like you need to have the car scan.

Hy,why my airbag lights come on just when the engine gets warm..i was to the dealer end i dont have any faults but my airbag light in dash comme on when the engine gets warm

Check the charging system. Alternator and battery when the engine is warm. Try to check for errors when the engine is warm. Check for errors in the instrument cluster.

Will my 2001 VW Beetle pass inspection if the airbag light is on and the check engine light is on? I live in Texas and dont know if it will pass.

if the check engine light is on it will not pass, the airbag light will not make you fail but if the engine light is on it will not pass an emissions test.

What ti do when the check engine light jeep grand cherokee 99 comes on? Also have the Air Bag light on too - is it a sensor issue and can i drive safely with the lights on?

The check engine light may not be a big deal if your Jeep is running OK. The bad news is that the airbag light has to be taken seriously.

It is normal for the airbag light to come on when you start your car and then go off in a few seconds, when the system is performing a self-test .When your airbag light stays on, it means that the circuit that controls airbag deployment has detected a problem. You need to have this looked at by a good mechanic, or preferably a Jeep dealer as soon as possible. It is possible that when there is a problem with the airbag circuitry that it can deploy without warning and can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

I do not recommend that you try to work on any airbag system yourself. The actuators contain small explosive charges that can seriously injure or even kill you. The system is designed to store an electrical charge and airbags can be set off even with the car battery removed. If you set your airbag off and are fortunate enough to not get hurt, replacing it will cause enough pain- $2000 is not unusual.

As far as the check engine light goes.... under the fusebox (near the drivers left knee area) you should see an electrical connector. You can go to any good auto parts store and ask to borrow their ECM analyzer- a handheld device that plugs into that connector and will allow you to read the computer codes that are turning on your check engine light. Just follow the instructions that come with the analyzer.

If you get an ambiguous reading like "factory code" chances are that it is fuel related and changing your brand or grade of gas will usually fix it. While you have the ECM analyzer connected, you can clear the codes and see if the light comes back.

I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee and during the winter, one certain brand of gas will cause the check engine light to come on in the winter. This is because federal and state clean air laws require that in winter months, the gas formulation be changed to help reduce emissions... and different brands actually DO have different formulations. Try a different brand gas for a while. Also, if your Jeep has the "straight six" engine, it is very important that you always run only regular grade- this engine (IMHO one of the best engines ever made!) does not like higher octane fuel and using mid-grade, or especially premium, will give you a check engine light, along with reduced gas mileage.

2003 nissan altima airbag blinking. Engine is running rough. Plus check engine soon light is illiminated.

On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. Most systems can only be diagnosed using a scanner designed for the airbag system, however some use flash codes to indicate the problem. The scanners at Auto Zone or the ones that sell for @ $50 will not access the airbag system, only the engine systems (check engine light).
This website gives you the procedure for diagnosing and resetting some systems without a scanner. Some vehicle manufacturers accommodate that (like Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) and some require a scan tool. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/

A light that looks like an engine is on in the top left side and a passanger with an airbag and seatbelt on on the right. v6 engine

The check engine light will always be on till the engine starts if it is still on while it is running then you need to have it checked out. They will pull codes and define the reason for the light.
If the check engine light is blinking STOP driving the vehicle.
Try buckling the passenger seat belt and see if it goes out.
Further diagnostic would be nessessary regarding the airbag light unless you have a shutoff capability for the passenger front seat and determine if the light is in regards to the airbag being in the on or off position.
Good luck, hope this helps

Airbag light on instrument panel flashes then stays illuminated

Some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10-20 mins and it usually resets a check engine light. But the airbag light is different. This means there is something wrong with the airbag system and it will not go out until maintenance.

Check engine light an airbag light went on. what is causing this

Check engine light is on because you have a sensor telling the computer that something's wrong with your engine. Go to AutoZone or another parts store - most of them will code scan your car for free (a dealer will get up to an hour's labor for it). Post the codes here when you have them, and I'll help you figure out what's wrong. As for the airbag light, see if they'll scan your car for chassis and airbag faults as well. If you have side airbags in the seats, like I do in my Audi, chances are you moved the seat too far and pulled on one of the connectors. They're not designed very well, and moving the seat too far will strain them a bit, open them just a hair, and trip the fault light. I zip-tied mine tightly to hold them, and then turned the airbag light off. That (and clearing the check engine light) have to be done using a code scanner - you can't clear them by disconnecting the battery most of the time.
