Question about 1987 Peugeot Liberte
Hi, I have a Peugeot 106 Independence Y reg. None of my brake lights work and it's not the bulbs. This has happened before about 2 years ago and a friend of mine had a look and said there was some kind of switch by the clutch pedal with he did something with and they then worked fine. Could someone tell me what it was and how/ where I can find it please?
Peugot are known for water getting into the rear light clusters, this causes shorting of the rear tail lights brake lights and indicators. They may not all be affected at the same time. Each bulb must be removed and the connections cleaned to achieve a good connection. Spray the whole bulb assembly with WD40 to eradicate all moisture. Each bulb connection is positive and the metal strips to each bulb acts as an earth. These must all be rust free and clean! Also the connection plug from the loom will need to be removed and each tab cleaned. This should cure your lighting troubles.

Ok man, i don't if that helps you, but when i tried it in my 1989 peugeot 205.
Try this: put on the hazzard lights and that will test some of the brake light circuit.
