First face the vehicle so the battery in on the right.
Second open hood.
Third Remove the Grill by pushing firmly on two retainer clips that are on the top, use the wide slot screwdriver to get the rest of the clips off. Pull up gently on the grill it should then pop out. The grill extends under each headlight assemblymag-glass_10x10.gif any other retainer clips should release when the grill in popped out.

  • Step 2 Fourth on top of the headlight assembly you will see one 1" tab on the right and left side, pull the tabs upward about two inches and this should release the headlight assembly. You then should be able to pull the headlight assembly out toward you.
  • Step 3 Finally at the back of the headlight assembly you will see two rubber caps one for low beam and one for high beam, the white base is for the low beam and the black base is for the high beam. Unsnap the wire harness from the bulb base, turn the bulb clockwise.

Replace the bulbs high beam on the outside and low beam on the inside.

When you switch from 2HI to 4HI, you should hear two distinctive sounds from under the truck, one is the transfer case actuator and the other is the front differential actuator. If you hear both and you still do not have power going to the front wheels, then there is a problem with the front disconnect assembly.

Speedometer is stuck at 20 mph. Sometimes it moves and then gets stuck again. Is fixing this expensive?

No it's not expensive. Need to replace the little stepper motor on the back of the cluster. You can even find these stepper motors on e-bay. If you decide to have someone do it for you, I've seen prices as low as $129 including labor to replace ALL the stepper motors for all guages.

2004 trailblazer, with no low beam. We replaced the dimmer switch, and it worked for 4 days, then low beams went out again. Is there a module somewhere that could be bad, and where would it be, is there a...

It's your #46 relay in the fuse box. Switch #45 and #46 the next time your lows go out. If you have lights now, that's it. Try cleaning the contacts on the relay and the fuse box first, which worked me. Or just buy a new one for around $20. Very common problem in TB's.

My 4X4 won't shift into 4Lo but it will shift into 4X4 Hi and anti 4X4,. What could be the problem? It's on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer.

On some GM vechiles with 4x4, you have to put tranni in netural, then try to shift into low 4x4. Same thing when you're done with 4 low trying to go back to 2 or 4 hi.

    Chevy trailblazer check engine light

P0128 is coolant operating temperature operating too low. This can be contributed to the Thermostat stuck open or faulty electronic radiator fan clutch. This is common, I had the same issue and replaced the thermostat and fan clutch and had the clutch re-programmed (required) at the dealer. As for the P0410, check the air pump fuse, if blown it will set this code on. Also check the air pump hoses for water and cracks. Hopefully this helps!!

Suspect transmission has failed. Recommend further diagnosis as transmission rebuilds are very spendy.
