SOURCE: I just replaced the altenator and got a new batter...

ON the older model cars and trucks it would be the voltage regulator. On the newer model cars and trucks the pcm (power control module ) controls the voltage from the alternator. The newer model cars and trucks will have to go back to a dealer to reset the pcm,if they cannot reset the pcm it will have to be replaced. Hope this will help you.

I have 2005 I changed the starter and battery good but it still won't start

First does it crank, if it does then check to see if the fuel injectors are getting fuel.....could be a fuel pump...

second....if there is nothing when you turn the key and the battery is good and the starter was replaced...it could be a bad ground.....thats the ground coming off your battery and goes to your chassis of the car.........let me know how you make out.

How do you know that you haven't run out of fuel? The gauge may be wrong.

Wont start engine doesnt rotate acts like a starter problem replaced battery all connections starter and selnoid

try turning motor over with socket on harmonic ballancer if there is no movement it could be internal (bearings) also check your altenator they sometimes lock up and the starter does not have the power to turn the motor with the altenator. if it does turn check for power on the smaller terminal on the sollenoid when the key is in the start position if there is no power here the problem may be in the ignition switch or safety neutral switch

Truck will not start. Acts like dead battery but

check the battery cables make sure the wire ends are not buish green if the are they need to be cleaned, stripped back to clean wire or replace will need to be checked at altenator and stater and starter solenoid as well the bluish green junk on the wires is corrosion and will restrict the flow of the elelctricity not allowing heavy loads like starting the car to happen this may not be it but is a strong possibility good luck.

I was driving down the road, car started acting like it wasnt getting any power so i pulled into a parking lot, put car in park, it idled rough for about a minute, then the battery light popped on and car...

sounds like your altenator is bad. it will bring down your battery. your serpintine belt could also be bad and slipping. my bet is the altenator went bad and your batteru is now bad also. replace both and you should be good to go

When I turn the key on my 92' sable ls, it will click but it wont turn over.? then randomly it will start again and act like nothing ever happened. is this the starter or alternater>?

If your battery is more than four years old, replace it. remove the starter and altenator and bring to autozone, where they test for free. If all three items above are ok, then you have a weird issue that involves alot of testing, or possibly an ignition cylinder?

Car starts with jump and drives but wont start by itself

well if the altenator is charging it will run after getting a jump, you replied you put a battery charger on it but that dont mean the cold cranking amps are good or it could have a dead cell. I would have the battery tested for sure. If you didnt drive far after jump the altenator may be bad but having the battery charged and still does it tells me it is least likely. If the battery tests good the cables could be corroded under the sheath where you cant see. There are other reasons but from what you have posted sounds like you need a battery most auto stores test them for free (load test also)

well Marie the reason your vehicle is acting this way is because even though you put new battery in you still have to have a viable altenator to run the vehicle. the battery is only used to start the vehicle and run the radio and lights and other accessories. while the vehicle is running the altenator is not only suppose to charge the battery but it is suppose to supply the amprage to energize and coolapse the coil to give the vehicle spark. a bad altenator while driving doesn't charge the battery it drains it . a quick check is to have the vehicle running and then remove the positive battery cable if it dies you know it's the altenator.... please rate this and good luck keep me posted
