Car sits for two days and battery goes dead. Tested and replaced to be on the safe side. Two weeks later ,car sits for two more days and battery is dead again. The only thing unusual is that it sounds like now the fuel pump is making a noise .This should not effect the battery if it is not running . Any ideas?

It sounds like the Alternator is bad or isn't charging teh battery completely. Or if this is the same station that has been selling her batteries they have a bad batch of weak batteries. Have the battery tested for dead cells. If there are none then put it on a charge and fully charge it and test the alternator. Auto zone can test both and will do so for free but you will have to remove the alternator for testing.
sounds like its wired up wrong, remove the radio unplug the connector and remove the radio, then check all your fuses must have blown one when radio was installed, after that charge battery and with radio removed see if battery goes dead, if not recheck wiring to radio, common problem with vw aftermarket radio, they are installed wrong, good luck,
you are having a problem with your alternator. the battery has a main purpose to start the vehicle, keep computer memory, and give power to electrical components when the key is in the on position. the alternator charges the battery and gives power to electrical components when the vehicle is running. now when you hit the brakes there was an extra load added to the alternator and if the car died then the alternator is running very weak and needs to be relace.
battery may be good yet you could recharge it, and if it doesn't go dead in a day or so it probable good. or take it in to a auto parts store and have it tested.
Note: If you are going to park a vehicle for long periods of time it is wise to either start the motor and let it run for 10 mins or more once a week or disconnect the battery. I usually just disconnect the possitive side.
ok let me help you get started
this isnt going to be easy we need to do a bunch of testing.
you will need a 12 volt test light.
remove the negitive battery cable and connect one side of your test light to the battery negitive and the other side to the battery cable . and with the key off.. so now if you have a short some where the light should be lit. now what we have to do is start to pull fuses untill the light goes out. and when you find the fuse that is causing your short and drain your battery . then we have to look into the section of the wiring and components.
let me know what you find
