Question about 1990 Ford Ranger SuperCab
I have a 1990 ford ranger with a 2.9 L engine.I been having problems with it stalling out when its hot.I drove it from my place to calgary whitch is about 30 mins away when it stalled out and would not start again.Went back the next day it started up no problem and run good for a day. Then it did it again the next day.It would turn over but not start.I replaced the cap & roter, coil thinking it wasn,t getting spark.Steve
I would have the control module checked. It is mounted to the back of the distributor. You can take it by any autozone to be tested. This component heats up and then starts to break down inside,, when it cools back off then you are able to start back up until it goes completely out.
