Data link connector for 94 lhs

I recently just purchased the innova 3140 code reader/scanner odb 1 & 2 can pro and have found it useless thus far.
The data link on this car is LH SCI OBD1 different from the purchased adaptor yet im under the impression theres a possible 2nd special link connector under the hood that may accomodate my unit. Where the H E double left Koh's is that located and if not....who wants to film me blowing up this damn thing....

SOURCE: Chrysler LHS Starter

The starter is located beneith the engine, near the transaxle and it is attatched to the engine by 3 bolts. You need to disconnect the battery, raise the car to get at it. The 3.3 and 3.5 engines take different starters. Rick

Where is the OBD on a "94" jeep grand cherokee

why do you want to find it, unsaid? you dont have a tool for it.
OBD means on board diagnosis, the correct name is DLC.
the old one OBD1. (non standard)
the scanner must be JEEP OBD1 certified, or tool fails !!!!!
only my INNOVA , 3140 scan tool works(low cost)
in 1996 USA invented OBD2, and is a standard so all tools work
P0 codes, at least. (fed rules )
why not read the free manual>?

ZJ jeep USA
chapter 25 page 2, DLC is between your knees below steering column,

seen here for free, and is real book, not fack.

DLC is here, designed for JEEP tools
many top brand tools support it ,most are VISA card busting $$$$$$ $1000's

My 2000 jeep grand cherokee is in a limp mode no codes

Then you have a code that a common code reader (like at Autozone) can't retrieve like for instance transmission codes and ABS codes, which is to say you need a shop to test this again with full function high end tester like a Snapon or MAC or factory scanner.

That's nothing but a generic code reader. You need a professional, bidirectional scan tool to do that.

Have replaced the o2, map & egr sensors and am still getting check engine light. what else could it be?

You've already completed many of the common issues for a check engine light. At this point, if you don't know the error code that the engine is sending out I'd recommend getting a OBD-1 code reader (1995 and older).

Check out this video:

If you don't have a code reader, you might just want to take it into a shop and have them tell you when the code is.

Or, purchase one and do the work yourself! Here's a link that lists different ODB-1 code readers:

If this has helped, please give me the appropriate thumbs up! Thanks, and good luck!
