Question about 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Take it to autozone or a major auto supply house and have them use the fault code reader to read it for you, they usually do this for free and will tell you what the error codes are if it is something simple it can possibly be repaired right there and if not you need to take it to a mechanic. Disconnecting the battery will not clear a fault if the fault still exists.

Stored fault codes may be erased from memory at any time by removing power from the VCM for at least 30 seconds. It may be necessary to clear stored codes during diagnosis to check for any recurrence during a test drive, but the stored codes must be written down when retrieved. The codes may still be required for subsequent troubleshooting. Whenever a repair is complete, the stored codes must be erased and the vehicle test driven to confirm correct operation and repair.
WARNING The ignition switch must be OFF any time power is disconnected or restored to the VCM. Severe damage may result if this precaution is not observed.
Depending on the electrical distribution of the particular vehicle, power to the VCM may be disconnected by removing the VCM fuse in the fusebox, disconnecting the in-line fuse holder near the positive battery terminal or disconnecting the VCM power lead at the battery terminal. Disconnecting the negative battery cable to clear codes is not recommended as this will also clear other memory data in the vehicle such as radio presets.
The following are the codes for the 1994-95 models with the OBD I and OBD II systems.

According to the GM factory service manual, the OBD-II trouble code, P1336, is defined as follows: DTC P1336 CKP System Variation Not Learned. The factory service manual does not enumerate all of the symptoms of this trouble code, but after consulting a professional custom PCM tuner, it was learned that aside from the annoying light on the instrument cluster, the other symptoms exhibited may include: poor vehicle performance, and loss of misfire detection diagnostics.
This DTC is particularly nasty, because simply clearing it by disconnecting the battery, or clearing it using an OBD-II scan tool will not address the problem. The code will be set again later unless the vehicle is run through the actual "crank relearn" procedure.
Fixing the Dreaded P1336 DTC
There is only one way to properly fix the P1336 DTC, and that's to perform a "crank relearn" procedure, or as the GM factory service manual procedure calls it, the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure. This procedure can be initiated and performed by GM's be-all end-all scan tool, the Tech-2. It can also be performed by some aftermarket scan tools. Furthermore, some of the PCM tuning software applications are capable of initiating a "crank relearn" procedure.
