I have a 2005 Bonneville GXP. I would expect yours to be the same as mine.
My battery is located under the rear seat.
Pull the fron of the seat straight up. There are two clips holding it.
Underneath you'll see the battery and a fuse block.
The cable and holddown clamp is pretty obvious.
Make sure you get the right size battery.
Also loosen the ground strap and inspect for corrosion and retighten. How to replace the battery on a 2004 Pontiac - zeevert_1.jpgzeevert_2.jpg

SOURCE: replace horn fuse in fuse panel of 1992 pontiac bonneville

Your fuse box is located on the driver side under the dash board. Up above where your brake and gas pedal are located. There should be a plastic cover that can be snapped off to reveal all of your fuses and on the inside of this plastic cover there should be a diagram of the fuses that are in use.

assuming that u have replaced any bad fuses. you have to remove the cover around the instrument panel. then u need to have a socket small enough to remove the screws that hold the head light switch in place. the head light switch knob should come out. you may have to pull it out first before u take the cover off. then remove the old switch and disconect the wires then replace the switch. i hope this helps

SOURCE: I need to replace the

That's up to you, but you'll need one of the same dimensions and post location. Look on the battery and make sure you get one with atleast the same or higher cranking amperage. If you live in a colder area, I would get a higher cold cranking rating. Look for a good warranty. Interstate makes great batteries but they're expensive and the warranty is lacking. Walmart's batteries are decent but they have a great replacement plan. with a 3.8L you probably won't need more than 750 cold crank amps

Do i need a special battery for the Pontiac Bonneville..(2005) its under the back seat ?

Couldn't find it listed at Walmart but Interstate Batteries had one. It was $170. As far as jumping there are jumper post under the hood. Should have labels and positive should have red cap over the post. Ground should have a couple of big black wires going to it on the fender on right side under hood.
