Serpentine belt???? Generally the new belt comes with a diagram on the pacjage. If not most of the time the highest pully is the one you start with first working your way counter clockwise and then you need to fit it over the tensioner last. You should be able to tell which way to route it by what the pullys look like the inside of the belt rests over grooved ones and and the outside fits under the smooth ones. Hope this helped!

Took my car to get repaired said it was water cost 800.00 dollars said it would take 7 hrs to fix is this true

A ball park figure would be around $600 with cost of pump and labor with labor being most of cost as placement of pump. But I would say you have the full right to have a second opinon of what is wrong with your car before you pay out that amount. Remember you are the customer and they are the client. And cost difference of thermostat and pump is some bills and pcoket changes as you have shown above.

Random or miltiple misfires,on 1996 chevy blazer. We have tried everything.any ideas. done tried new cap,wires,plugs,distributor....etc....help?

If you have no check engine light it's more than likely the Timing Belt/Chain system needing repair. If you have a check engine light it is probably the cam or Crank position sensor sending bad signals. If you hadn't said you replaced the cap and distributor already I would point you to checking the inside of the cap to see if someone took a pencil to the inside, very old trick.

My son just purchased a 2006 GMC Envoy and Check Engine Light kept going on. Dealer said it is due to Secondary Injection Pump (Code P0410),which my son paid them to replace. Again, Check Engine Light...

Until yesterday, I have never had a serious mechanical issues with my 2006 Envoy Denali, which only has +/-60K Miles (under extended 100K Mile warranty).

Yesterday, however, while taking an interstate on-ramp (I think I hit 40 MPH tops?), my 5.3L V-8 engine shut down while in use. I immediately pulled over, as my power steering went out when the vehicle shut off, and coasted to a stop on the shoulder.

My vehicle would not restart... the dealership took a look at it this morning, and their preliminary findings are that the engine threw a rod, there's metal shavings, and some liquid (water?) in the engine.

I'm still awaiting their full estimate of the damage.

Jeep runs for twenty minute and stall.

Hello now that I see this messages you making me to remember when this use to happen to me I was totally mad especially that I try everything even on my wedding Honey moon it was a disaster I took my truck to my Honey moon it was 12 hrs from home but it took me around 20 hrs once I get back home from my trip I decide to spend a full day trying to find out what was wrong with my truck I had a dodge ram 1500 1995 5.9 engine and the main problem was with the fuel pump it run fine for about 3 hrs and then it die and I had to wait around 20 minutes and then run another 2-3 hrs in low speed the higher the speed the less time it took to fail again how I found it was the pump well inside in the engine compartment there is a fuel line with a valve to check the fuel pump pressure I did run my truck hard until the fail occur then I install the pressure gauge try to turn the switch on and it was no pressure at the line problem solve the fuel pump was getting hot after couple of hrs running sometimes it only took about an hour to fail try this and see if you have the same problem it could be a different problem but it is good to know this

1. Had mechanic check timing again. Belt off a couple degrees. Should fix problem.
2. Don't know. this is my son-in-laws car.
3. No.
4. I think valves were bent due to timing belt breaking and son-in-law trying to start car when it went dead.
5. Will do this if timing belt reset don't work.
Thanks for your reply.
