How much should it cost to change a timing belt on a 2003 Ford escape

Considering that when you change a timing belt you ALWAYS change the water pump all seals/gaskets, timing belt idler gears, etc. many times that comes all together in a kit.
It can be an average cost of around $1100-1200, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. The main cost will be labor, since it is a fairly time consuming job.

Litres of oil in power steering system

Hi,
The average power steering system holds approximately 2 US pints which is a little less than 1 Liter. Be careful not to overfill the system, as seal damage can occur. Best to add a little at a time, or if you have replaced system componets and drained the system completely, put in about 1/2 Liter (1 US pint) , start engine and work steering back and forth several times. Then add a little at a time repeating the process until the correct fluid level on resevoir dipstick has been achieved.

Please vote if this helped! Thanks, Mike

How to get the timimg rigth 1988 ford ranger

If you have and know how to use a timing gun first of all to first check the timing with the timing gun to see how much it is off. The distributor cap is part of the timing so you can take off the distributor cap and move it just little at a time but make sure that when you move the distributor cap just a little that the car is not running and then check the timing with timing gun again. Its a trial and error is how I learned by my father this way and its safe just make sure to move the distributor cap just little bit at a time maybe close to an hair or so. I know this might take some time but you will get the handle of it easy once you learn the trick.

When it gets 1400rpm it starts to cut out give it a little gas &it goes some times it back fires

Sounds like your timing is a little off, have it checked and adjusted. May also be a bad rotor cap and button.

2004 Dodge 1500 Rear sliding window latch broke. Latch is fused to the glass. how do you get off the old one?

with a little heat, use a heat gun use someting like a small saw to cut in half then use a ravor and keep diging to release the glue holding it to glass, this takes time, but can be done, try to remove peices of the latch little by little, some times just heating and a blade does the trick,

I want to advance my timing a little...for my hydrogen unit.

you would haqve to turn the distributor to advance the timing to where youn want it to be. it will also raise your rpms just a bit on the car as well so you can see and hear the difference
