First you need to check the level of the radiator fluid sounds like it could be low . if it is add some but also look for signs of where it might be going if none found suspect head gasket very common on these motors. wish you luck

I have a 99 Oldsmobile intrigue and my heater will not work. It's not overheating.

What will not work? The blower fan is not working or there is no heat with the blower fan working?

1999 f-150 air blows stops blowing heat blows out cold then overheats

First The heading says 99 Taurus but the question says 99 f-150. Second, are you saying that the engine is overheating? The heater won't work if the level of coolant is low and that would explain overheating. The thermostat controls the temp of the heat, so if it is stuck closed then water can't circulate to the heater and the vehicle would overheat, but this is unlikely.

the other answers seem to concentrate on a non-working heater. Good luck with this problem.

Intermitent over heating

intermittent overheating is cause by a sticking thermostat 99 percent of the time. The other reason can be a loose hose clamp which is mostly unlikely for it should of been doing this for a long time if the hoses were never been removed

99 Chevy Silverado is overheating after maintance on radiator

try checking the hoses for blockage, and if not that make sure the fan is working right as it might be the fan cluch,or your water pump may have went out, best of luck
