The clutch fluid shouldnt get that hot ever and when you bleed it u give the fluid time to cool down.it is kindof a guess but check trans.fluid level and antifreeze levels also make sure colling fan is working hope this helps

My clutch going to the floor and not being able to put it in gear my master cylinder was empty i refilled that and pumped the clutch an it is still doin same thang what else could be the problem?

Hi Sarah:
Chances are that you still have the clutch problem that you started with.
Filling the master cylinder was good, now you have to find out why it was empty and where it went.
You'll need to make sure there is no air trapped in the lines so you'll have to bleed the slave cylinder.
If the slave cylinder seal has failed, it will have a lot of fluid visible so its fairly obvious.
Remove and replace, bleed lines, check fluid level, should be OK.

Why is my clutch sticking to the floor and why won't it shift into gear when the car is on?

Ok Matt,I got you covered, when your clutch master cylinder goes empty, your clutch slave is leaking and not holding pressure, you can fill reservoir and bleed to get you home,I've did it in my 85 nissan 720 4x4 before, you can have someone pump clutch pedal a few times and hold to floor and you open bleeder valve at slave cylinder till air is gone, just don't let resevoir get low. Here is a link to bleeding, your slave cylinder is bolted to side of transmission with 2 bolts.Be careful and don't strip bleeder screw, you can get part at Autozone, also get dot 3 brake fluid, this autozone iis not showing a guide to replace, here's one from a 85 nissan, very similar.

My car nissan 1998 maxima clutch pedal stuck to the bottom suudenly. leave car over night again pressure build up and start working perfect until next time happen in 3-4 days. could you tell me what could...

it sounds like its either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder thats causing the problem. This is generally a sign of that system failing. There are somethings you can do though First i would bleed the clutch and see if the problem persists if it does you need to diagnose if the master cylinder is bad. Second... make sure the master cylinder has the correct amount of fluid. If it does try this, If you have a bad master cylinder then you can do the following test with the help of an assistant. Have your assistant press down on the clutch while you look to see if the transmission fluid in the reservoir rises when the clutch is down and then rises again when the clutch is released. If it does then you may have a bad master cylinder. also feel under the master cylinder to see if there is oil if there is the seals may have gone bad and the unit will need to be changed. in my experience id go with the master cylinder, but it could happen with the slave as well. Usually if you change one you change both of them.
Its better that you had this problem now then no pressure when you are driving.

if you need further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you further. if this helped please feel free to rate the solution. Thanks - Midwest-tek

Clutch slips in hot weather

You might want to flush and re-fill slave cylinder and bleed the system.Use only the recomended fluid, sounds like either air in system or too light weight fluid in cylinder.when hyd. fluid gets hot it get thin when its cold it stays thicker. Is there a heat sheild missing? Hope this helps.

1996 nissan maxima clutch sticks to floor

yes, Briong the pedal up where it belongs, then open an fill your master cylider. Then go below and open the bleeder intil the fluid runs/drips steady and free of any bubbles. Do not pump the pedal. When only fluid comes out, tighten/close the bleeder and give it a try. Good Luck. If peal dives again, replace the master cylinder.

How do I bleed the master clutch cylinder

Drain or bleed? The bleeder nipple is on the slave cylinder. Fill master cylinder, leave the cap loose, open the bleed nipple at the slave cylinder, and let gravity do the rest. whe vo more aie bibbles come out and it drips steady. Close the bleeder, top of the master cylinder and you are done.
